Wasps will still be there or thereabouts. Betsen can provide a bit of experience, and a new dimension, the their backrow. Flutey was looking very sharp last year, and Cipriani will be raring to go. Tigers will be up there also. Good signings on top of an existing strong squad. Other than that, proba...

IMHO Erinle showed the best support play outside Mauger last season. I'd like to see him given a run to prove himself. Nothing against Hipkiss - I think he's a good player and has his attributes. But, he doesn't seem to link well with Mauger and doesn't seem to be able to exploit the acres of space ...

However it was SCW's short-sightedness that ultimately won us the RWC but also killed off any chance of a competitive England team for then next 4 or 5 years. Making the 2007 RWC Final was a miracle given the lack of SCW's succession planning! Short-sightedness? How can you accuse SCW of being shor...

How long will Flood be with England for - 3 months?? How long is the season - 8/9 months?? That's a third of the season away from the club, so Hougaard, if he's not first choice, will get significant gametime then. I don't really see that it's a problem, but Mauger MUST start at 12 if the backline i...

I strongly disagree about Deacon. As, I guess, do the many players who voted Deacon 'players player of the season' last year. Totally agree, DW. Deacon was our best forward last season. He doesn't stand out as much as people like Croft, and he perhaps doesn't have the "fan appeal" of some...

I don't have a strong opinion on this - I won't be going to the WF match whether it was full price, discount (I'm a 1yr ST) or free. Perhaps a balanced view?... Most of those who went for the 2/3 yr option have the financial resources to afford it and could afford the price (discounted or otherwise)...

DA - I do agree with your arguments about logistics, practicality etc. However, there could be an argument made about the "investment quality" of bringing in a world-famous player, even at great short-term cost. Bringing in a player like Carter could lead to a significant number of people ...

He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Is Cristiano Ronaldo worth the reported 65m Real Madrid are reported to be ready to offer for him? Of course not, but if that's what Madrid are willing to pay then so be it. It is a lot of money because everyone is aware that the contract is short-term....

I can understand a thread being locked if there is abuse, if the conversation goes wildly off topic, etc. But, I don't understand why duplicates are locked. If someone wants to ask a question, they should be allowed to ask it - regardless of whether or not it has been asked before. If others choose ...

I can't see it being financially or in any other way worth it at Tigers. People simply wouldn't bother coming. Self-fulfilling prophecy? We won't bother with a Tigers team for the few that might watch because there wouldn't be that many? DA, I don't disagree but, as Bill says, you're very good at p...

Apparently not until 2010 (according to various other forums). I wasn't a huge fan of the current one (not been a huge fan of rugby games full stop!), but it would be nice to see a good version on the PS3/XBox. The Madden games are always good quality graphics, gameplay and realism - be nice if EA c...

I believe Geordan has not been at his best lately. This may have been a World Cup reaction. If so, he should be back on form this season. Sorry Pete, totally disagree. He was instrumental against Gloucester and, at times IMO, was the best back we had. We played some naff games towards the end of th...

Agree, TTRITH. I completely missed the notification of this one!

Good signing on the face of it. If he can kick goals that solves a minor problem we've had with a lack of genuine goal kickers - now we have a handful!

That is a very significant part of the squad who have as daily says let down badly their country, their sport their colleagues and the fans as well as themselves. Words of remorse and regret would have been nice! Totally agree. It seems RAndrew is more concerned about distancing himself from the sa...
