Re: Predicted England World Cup 31
I'd take: Brown, Watson, Nowell, May, Joseph, Barritt, Slade, Burgess (over Burrell, still think Eastmond has been badly treated) Ford, Farrell, Cipriani (over Goode) Youngs, Care, Wigglesworth Marler, Vunipola, Brookes, Cole, Wilson Youngs, Webber, George, Lawes, Launchbury, Parling, Kruis (over At...

Re: Tait might not be off? Now staying!!!
Back on topic, I'm delighted that Tait is staying, and would subscribe to the view that he's been our best back this year. Is a real bonus to retain him. And off topic, Saracne do have a reasonable number of back 3 options, but wouldn;t think thed'd be too happy as Strettle's probably been their mos...

Re: The salary cap breachers final
Congrats indeed to the Chelsea and Man City of English rugby. Nicely bought, sorry, played.

Re: Booing at HT on Saturday
I think it's important to distinguish between a genuine, spontaneous, reasonable and restrained expression of dissatisfaction and disappointment (which is what there was at half time on Saturday, directed at both Tigers and the ref), and the sort of angry, personalised, pre-meditated booing you get ...

Re: Booing at HT on Saturday
I didn't participate, but it ws an understandable and justifiable reaction to an abysmal first half from Tigers. We were gifted a try by London Welsh after 5 minutes and then proceeded to lose the next 35 minutes 10-0 at home to a team that hasn't even come close to winning a Premiership game all se...

Re: Ref for Saturday
Agreed - European games and top of the table clashes the referee can be a worry. If we can't take Wigglesworth out of the equation vs London Welsh then we really do have issues.

Re: Sarries record debt
The 'ridiculously' was primarily referring to the undersized rather than the location. Nevertheless it is a pretty awful location to get to: http://www.saracenssupporters.org/wordpress/allianz-park-travel-information-for-visiting-supporters/ Anything on the outer fringes of London involving buses or...

Re: Sarries record debt
I don't agree that the English game would suffer through the absence of sugar daddies and aggressive debt strategies. Many of Saracens top level English players have come from other English teams (Ashton, Strettle, Vunipola, Hodgson, etc) so the effect of Saracens in these cases is merely to contrib...

Re: At Quins and no mistake we were woeful
Clearly wasn't the best and we didn't take our chances, but the game also reflected the fact that we were playing 6 days after a massive game against Bath whereas Quins were backing up a non event victory over London Welsh where they rested half the team and the half that were playing barely had to ...

Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
Woeful. Just woeful. I have to say I think a lot of the problems emanate from half back. Is Youngs actually any good without Flood calling the game? Do we have any ability to cross the gain line without Manu? Unless you're playing on a bog in driving rain what is Crane actually for? Why has nobody w...

Re: Team for Sat - Allen's back
Awesome. Having Allen back provides a feeling of security that our back line might actually know what they are trying to do. Doesn't mean they'll be able to do it of course, but clarity of objectives is a start. Is nice to have a selection that finally looks like a reasonable strength Tigers team fo...

Re: Premiership vs RFU World Cup War
+1 The RFU hasn't exactly curried favour with the clubs in terms of how they've gone about choosing venues either. That they'd rather donate to LCFC's coffers than Tigers (etc) was hardly likely to win friends and influence people. The fact the global game is still run by Aus and NZ is the bit that ...

Re: The Champions Cup - Fixtures announced (Updated)
Interesting to see that BT Sports have sacrificed Saints and Sale to Sky and kept Tigers and the London clubs for both of the first 2 rounds of fixtures. Wonder if this trend will continue throughout the pool rounds? Selfishly, I hope it will as would be a right pain if Toulon vs Tigers or Ulster vs...

Re: Nigel Owens
So let's get this straight. NO is biased He has fooled all the international coaches (who get an input into selection) He has fooled all the independent Match observers He is bias (either for the ABs or against England) and this has been accepted the game - despite EVERY decision he makes being sub...

Re: Nigel Owens
He'd be a better ref if he refereed what happened rather than overlaying who did it, when they did it and what they actually meant to do at the time. In this match - FACT Nonu cynically pulled Haskell back off the ball with a clear professional foul when England break threateningly. Owens did well t...
