Scaaaaaaaarlets
Out of the last 8 games they have played at home in the European competitions they have drawn one and lost seven. Just made me feel a whole lot better now, just need a good solid squad available and we can continue their woes......

Played in a couple of Anglo Welsh encounters many moons ago, they love a battle with the English and this is no gimme that's for sure.Just looking for reasons to be optimistic.

Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
No excuses really. This is the perfect second game for us and if we have aspirations to go a long way in this competition, it's a must win. Whilst there aren't (m)any easy games in the ERC, there are easiER games. And this is one of them. Again, momentum for our season is a backdrop factor. Looking further ahead, which of course only supporters are allowed to do, going away to Toulon sitting 3 and 0 would mean we could play without any pressure. A performance on a par with the last couple of weeks would probably do it.
Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
I think if we want to stand a chance of getting out of this pool we have to win all home matches and at least one away one and probably pick up some bonus points too and this is the best chance of the away win, at least on paper. Won't be easy though and they'll want a win themselves to keep their chances alive.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
I can't decide whether Scarletts played well last Sunday or Toulon played poorly, it was probably a bit of both, but it just showed that the Tigers will have to stay at the top of their game to get the required result this Saturday evening, a 5 point win.
Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
hopefully scarletts got themselves really up for the game, and won't be as hyped up for us. I mean we're playing really badly atm with a second string team out.....
cheers

South African lock George Earle has been ruled out of Saturday’s Rugby Champions Cup clash with Leicester after picking up a bang to his head in the 28-18 Pool 3 defeat to Toulon.
Centre Regan King won’t feature as a continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, while back-rower Rob McCusker picked up a calf injury playing for Carmarthen Quins in the British and Irish Cup on the weekend.

Re: Scaaaaaaaarlets
This is the must-win game. We need at least one away win to qualify and have already made things harder by letting Ulster escape with a 1-4 deficit instead of the 0-5 they should have had. Those two points could be vital later in the group and if we don't win in Llanelli then I'm certain we'll have left ourselves too much of a hill to climb, even when some of the first team come back into the mix.
We have a settled team, though - it may not be first choice by any stretch of the imagination, but at least it's now had time to gel and develop. The way we hammered into Ulster in that first half will have worried Scarlets, and so it should.
Stick out a similar side to last week, give Williams the kicking duty from the start so we can get the scoreboard ticking, and I can see us pinching it by a couple of points after weathering a first half storm from a fired up Scarlet side. They'll get a couple of first-half tries, but we'll be in touch with a series of penalties. We'll take the lead with an early second-half score, it'll switch back and forth with kicks being traded. Scarlets with another try to pull four points clear before forward power overwhelms them and we maul them back over their line (because they aren't Irish, so can't simply pull down a fast moving maul 5m from their line and avoid yellow cards) to secure a 3-poitn win.
Money down now, lads!

Any more detail 4071 or are you just going to stick with the bigger picture.

Love the remarks about the maul, exactly how I've seen in watching Pro12
