Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Well it’s all been discussed in great detail on here but I’ll repeat it as you’ve obviously missed it or chosen to ignore it. First season in a new country Turmoil caused by the Dickens situation and being a coach down RWC and losing 11 players to it Injuries to key players Anyone of those can caus...

If we can get the team playing like they did in the final game against Exeter and like they did this pre-season, win games and be in contention then I would hope that the naysayers will come around. I am left with the impression that some feel that he wasn't the right fit and therefore won't give h...

It’s possible he may find himself in a similar situation to Wiese. Young family, he’ll be 31 by the end of next season may be time to return home.
As other posters have said he will have plenty of suitors and part of Tigers decision will be VFM if he’s still involved in the Springboks plans

Friday night showed for me why he isn’t in the England reckoning. Sharks shut him down early so he couldn’t use his footwork and pace and wasn’t physical enough to go through the sharks forwards

Tiglon wrote: Sun May 26, 2024 8:24 pm Charlie Atkinson is a bit of a shock! Has he even played much this year? Was Borthwick responsible for his signing at Tigers?
With Ford and F Smith involved in the playoffs he probably is next in line if they wanted 2 fly halfs for training

Re: England squad for summer tour

Agree re Kelly seems a strange omission. As I suspected looks like Coley gets the summer off. Nothing to prove by taking him and succession needs sorting ASAP https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/articles/cn00g5n38z1o " Props Dan Cole and Joe Marler are available for this summer's Tests but...

Re: Dan Mckellar

I know Farrell isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he is very driven. Be interesting to see if he has a positive effect at Racing to unlock all that potential or he just ends up winding the French up

Rumours of player mentality especially, can also follow people’s own bias And are very easy to make claims about, if someone wants to. There's plenty for the players to be upset about, having just finished 8th in the league. That doesn't mean they blame it on McKellar or don't want him there. Yes v...

Re: Champions' Cup Final

It is difficult the team that is attacking the most, which Leinster were certainly for the first hour, remember seeing a graphic even when Toulouse were ahead that they hadn’t been in Leinster 22, they will be mentioned more don’t mind the comments myself, like many on here I know enough to know wha...

Premiership Semi finals 2024

I know some feel they shouldn’t take place and Saints should be champions etc etc etc. However they are: Friday brings us Northampton v Saracens Saturday Bath v Sale Who do posters think will win. Personally I would like to see Saints win after some of the rugby they have played and Sale after timin...

I heard we had spent up, unless we exit someone, no other significant signings - that’s why he must have a plan, probably academy promotions. You’ve said this a number of times and keep using this word significant, which can lead in a number of directions. I’m sure you believe what you hear, but li...
