Did I read somewhere that Owolofela prefers 15?sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:28 pmThere's quite a bit of talk about Worth's favoured position being fullback but he's played quite a bit at centre as well. I think he'll settle in as a 12 that can play 13 and 15. Tait is also a centre now, I'd say he doesn't have the pace for 15 anymore given previous showings but that cover tackle last season makes me doubt that. Either way I think we'll see younger options at the back.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:08 pmOn reflection of previous seasons' centre injuries, surely we need about a dozen? I suppose the logic in bringing another 13 in is that others (such as Worth/Tait/Olowefela can concentrate on their preferred positions).
Owolofela I presume will play mainly wing next season whilst he gains experience at senior level. Plus his tendency to step off the wing and attack from the shoulder of the flyhalf should suit Ford.

Think it's been said on the message board previously. He played 15 against Bath in the LV last season during the second half. Didn't look as comfortable as he did at centre. Might be a position he grows into at senior level.strawclearer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:59 pmDid I read somewhere that Owolofela prefers 15?sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:28 pmThere's quite a bit of talk about Worth's favoured position being fullback but he's played quite a bit at centre as well. Worth told me he preferred and saw himself as a centreRagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 1:56 pmHe said it in a rugby paper interview a couple months ago, same with worth and 15.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 1:48 pmThink it's been said on the message board previously. Very simil;ar to Mallinder. Needs to work on his explosive acceleration , toute de suite, because pace is paramount.

he probably thinks he can nail down the back up role for Veianu, who you would expect to be away at times playing internationalsRagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 4:57 pmOk but he said in the rugby paper in Feb that 15 was the position he "covets"L Smith wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 4:46 pmWorth told me he preferred and saw himself as a centreRagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 1:56 pm

Matt Toomua has blamed the lack of sun in Leicester (among other things) for his decision to return to Oz. Can’t have spent any of his off-season here, can he?

I think the comment was a bit tongue in cheek.

Toomua looks way off the pace for International level.
Maybe aus might have been better just letting him get back to rugby with Tigers and then picking him for the AI's instead of dropping him straight into the deep end without playing any competitive rugby in a few months.
also maybe Cheika could try wooing Fardy back or does MC have an agreement with Leinster
