Oh just realised we signed Dominic Ryan, who was at Leinster whilst Matt O'Connor was head coach there. Look how well that turned out

Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part Deux
13 for Tigers is a dangerous position. How many playing 13 have gotten long term injuries over the years? We probably need a bus full of 13s.
I'm not cynical just experienced

Not a good omen but I believe he can be decent for us.

People are being a bit harsh on McMillan. He started every game he was available for at Bristol and has started for Saints in the premiership in the past and put in some decent performances. Also sounds like he’s a decent bloke to have around the squad.
Obviously he’s been brought in as bench cover, but if TPN is away and Youngs got injured, he seems like a good 3rd choice back up with Stevens on the bench. Granted Mahoney and Kerr are decent prospects, but wouldn’t want them starting against top level opposition.
Same with Macken. Both Tuilagi and Owen don’t have the best injury records. I would rather Macken start at 13 who seems to have done okay for himself at Wasps. Maybe harsh but I can see Smith being more of a player coach for the academy lads coming up next season.

Just seen a photo of Jack Rowntree. The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree there

On reflection of previous seasons' centre injuries, surely we need about a dozen? I suppose the logic in bringing another 13 in is that others (such as Worth/Tait/Olowefela can concentrate on their preferred positions).

There's quite a bit of talk about Worth's favoured position being fullback but he's played quite a bit at centre as well. I think he'll settle in as a 12 that can play 13 and 15. Tait is also a centre now, I'd say he doesn't have the pace for 15 anymore given previous showings but that cover tackle last season makes me doubt that. Either way I think we'll see younger options at the back.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:08 pmOn reflection of previous seasons' centre injuries, surely we need about a dozen? Owolofela I presume will play mainly wing next season whilst he gains experience at senior level. Plus his tendency to step off the wing and attack from the shoulder of the flyhalf should suit Ford.
