Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024
I’d like Sale to win it as George Ford is a player I’ve always admired and even though we lost at The AJ Bell two weeks ago I enjoyed once again watching from close to the pitch Fordy pulling the strings. Though Manu left us in a way I wasn’t impressed with I still enjoy the way he plays with a huge...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Time to just back DMK: he had no real preseason with so many players at the World Cup: attack coach then has to go on compassionate leave: injures meant he then had Henderson, Martin, Chessum all missing at crucial times! Looking at the performances I’ve gone to at home and away games since Christma...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter
Great win and could have been a higher score line for us as in the first half we weren’t clinical enough. Crowd today really turned up.OHC, Steward, JVP, Martin, Wells and Hanro immense effort as was Wilkinson’s when he came on: the covering back and one huge tackle meant the last 10 minutes could b...

Yes: like we ‘ve missed George Ford who rarely if ever gives anything but a classy performance.

Re: Dan Mckellar
Well said amazing Tiger: I too felt there were signs of improvement as I watched Tigers from the East Stand of the AJBell. Like all sides near the bottom we’ve not had the bounce of the ball go our way. Exeter at home is going to be difficult but no doubt like most of us going on Saturday I shall sh...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter
Agree about Pollard v Sale but I’m sure he took a couple of knocks early on then another huge tackle by him late in the first half meant he was struggling. I just wonder if it’s worth putting him on the bench with Montoya and Cole just to have some impact late on! Risky maybe but then again if we ca...

Re: Dan Mckellar
We might have lots of international talent but the hugely talented Henderson has been out all season; JVP, Martin and Chessum also missing through injury. Pollard has never hit anywhere near the heights of the World Cup but I’m not sure he’s ever been fully fit. Basset, Simmonds, Watson so unlucky w...

Bit different to our game management last week but Sarries have more of their key players fit! And Bristol aren’t getting away with so many things compared to last week.

Yes we all hate losing and I too moan then feel guilty I have but after getting back last night I couldn’t believe how negative the posts are! I’ve said it many times along with others: Borthwick took ages to get things right then when he had he followed it by gradually taking all of the main coache...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
Just got back from Sale. Lots to be proud of: Steward was immense: got to be captain next season!Tonight Shilcock far better than Pollard; Kata and Martin superb as were Carnduff and Heyes when they came on. Manu and Ford: World Class. Reffing as admitted by Sale fans around us was very poor but sli...

I think Vanes and especially FTT will really push both Montoya and Clare for the hookers spot as both are more mobile, have decent hands, can tackle hard but fair and can hook the ball! Henderson has been a huge loss as he is a sort of Tom Croft and was playing very well in the Premiership Cup. Beet...

Sale is/was the perfect opportunity to get players ready for next season as we rarely win there and even the optimistic Tom Varndell thinks we will lose.
Still, I travel up in the hope those that are leaving will give their all: Sale are always fired up against us.

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
We have, apart from Gloucester, had the most injuries of any squad but recently Gloucester has had a very settled squad which reflects how they’ve done pretty well in the last 6 games. I was hoping to travel up to Sale feeling exciting to see some of the youngsters from last Friday being integrated ...

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List
I’ve said it before so here we go again:George Martin is Borthwick’s go to player as witnessed at the end of the 6 Nations. If sense prevailed players like George Martin and Earle would be rested this Summer but they won’t be. Chessum to hasn’t looked fully fit since returning from England! Get well...
