New season fixtures out today - 19th July 2022
New premiership fixture list announced today at 11am I believe.
Who do we fancy first up I’d quite like Sarries at home in a perverse way

Exeter away first. Then falcons at home. Last home game 15 April. Then bye week. Then wasps away last game
Bit disappointing to see that at the end of the season.

Not a lot we can do about and at least it’s not too much of a trip, if they’re still playing in Coventry

Must be a fix Sarries have the first weekend off
Re: New season fixtures out today - 19th July 2022
The first weekend is the last date I would want off. An extra week of pre-season will not do mutch good and your first match will be against a team who already has a week of match fitness under their belt. Any time during the Autumn internationals or the 6 nations is the ideal time for a bye week or at least deeper into the season when players need a rest.

Why are the cup games so early in the season? I thought the whole point was that they were held during the Autumn Internationals to lessen the impact for clubs losing players to international call ups?
Gloucester at home on Christmas Eve should be fun. I'm guessing that may get moved.

Re: New season fixtures out today - 19th July 2022
So during the autumn internationals we play Worcester at home, Bath away, Sarries away in the Prem Cup and London Irish at home. Doesn't seem like too much to worry about there, we should have the depth to be able to beat all those teams without our Internationals.
Then during the Six Nations we play Quins at home, Newcastle away, Bristol at home, Exeter at home, London Irish away and Bath at home.

Only one home game televised on BT Sport in the first 10 rounds… Aren’t we the champions?
Re: New season fixtures out today - 19th July 2022
How many of our away matches are televised. Looking at the few I have seen, our away fixtures are the choice games of the rounds over the first few weeks.LekkerTigers wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 1:39 pm Only one home game televised on BT Sport in the first 10 rounds… Aren’t we the champions?
