Injury Update

Post by Smudge »

I am fully aware that Tigers are very backward coming forward with the progress or otherwise of our injured players.
However, can anyone shine a light on the subject?

Current injury list:

Martin Castrogiovanni
Kieran Brookes
Craig Newby
Jordan Crane
Ben Youngs
Mickey Young
Billy Twelvetrees
Anthony Allen
Mathew Tait

To be honest, it's a sign of how depleted we have been that we can look at that list of six full internationals and three Saxons internationals and still consider ourselves pretty much back up to full-strength. Some teams haven't had that many absentees in total this season, yet we are delighted to just have the nine first-team players out.

Who really knows, its a secret, no need for us to know & if we did they would have to kill us.

As long as the players are being looked after,it doesn't really matter to us as supporters. Our job is to get behind the team on the pitch and give the team the confidence not the bird,if things take time to come together.

What happened to the young Italian prop we signed in the summer and then promptly broke his leg? Before anyone starts, I can't remember his name so I can't do a search for him and he isn't listed in the team lists, 1st and A.

Something something O'Campo? He's been at Tigers a couple of years. Think the injury was quite a bad one and he won't be back for a while, from memory he was 20ish so still developing.

There is an interview with Cokers on the BBC from after the game and he didn't seem to think that any of the players taken off on Saturday would be in doubt for the Arioni game, so I'm guessing Smith and Salvi will both be ok.

He also seemed to think Youngs has a chance of being fit next week but will definately be back for the Ulster game.

No mention of 12Ts but he wasn't asked

Camilo Parilli-Ocampo - still injured as far as I know and in injury rehab. He is on twitter I believe.

He's a Londoner with a Spanish background.
