Your man of the match?

Post by kornboy130 »

having just watched the game -corry was outstanding - but i think id have to give it to the great shane jennings - who was absolutely everywhere- supporting, turning over - and generally upto no good at the break down - he nearly setup a try - had their full back not had slightly more pace than sam vesty - and was brilliant in his support of goodes kick for the try.

jenno it was for me.

I said below, I think it was Goode, no question.

The two TEAMS played each other even, IMO.

Goode made the difference. His early kicking and then his engineering of two tries along with rock solid goal kicking late gave the platform for the win.

I think the MOM should go to the man who made the difference--and for me, that was Goode.

And I am not normally a Good fan.

In the Sky interview Goode said that Jennings actually called for the chip. He had a stormer. He would have been my man of the season (before this game) over AT any day - At has been classs lately, but Shanes been there all the time. Quality. Goode had a really really great game too, as did Kay while he was on the pitch. As did the whole team really! But Jennings had to be MOM for me. I hope Herring lives up to him!

Tough one this Kornboy, but my top 3 (in order): Jennings, Ellis, Capt'n Cozza.

Andy Goode took all the pressure of us with his kicking, a good try and a sublime chip. He was my man of the match, but the performance overall almost made a very good team in Scarlets look ordinary. Almost.

If Jennings actually called for the chip over, then it's Jennings no doubt for MOTM, that movement tilted the match in favour of Tigers, just one minute after a severe blow to the morale. Superb reaction, worthy of the European club of the year.

................anyone in red green and white. Very difficult to single out one man from what was (IMHO) a great team effort. Almost as good as the munster away game!

Toss up between Goode and Jennings. Whoever picked Cozza was at a different match to the rest of us.

Unfortunately i don't think Hipkiss had enough of the ball to get MoTM...put in a good defensive display, but with Goode playing the men outside him didn't see too much of the ball. That's not a criticism of Goode, it's just the gameplan we opted for imo.

Goode for me - not just because he played well and gave the platform for the win, but also because the pressure was so much on him and he came through.

But they were all great.

Jennings - immense !! Should have been Players of the Season last year AND this year also. We'll find out how good he actually is when we haven't got him next season - a massive loss.
