One tactic might be to not keep giving the ball to saints.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

I'm not sure we'll win, but we have the best defence in the league so I'm not sure about a cricket score either. Saints have conceded 58 points more than we have and scored 44 more than us.

Whereas we definitely have the ability to run it from our own half and Saints definitely don't have any jackle threats like Lawes, Langdon, Pearson or Ludlam available to them.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 7:41 am One tactic might be to not keep giving the ball to saints.

Honestly Kicking is prob our best chance of beating Saints.
But obviously the kicking needs to be spot on and the chase needs to be great.
Steward v Hendy in the air I feel would net us positive yardage.
You don't play in your own half against a team like Saints.
My biggest worry is how good Saints are with first phase ball off set pieces and how vulnerable we have been too them

Given the season so far, the Saints first phase will slice and dice the Tigers. The Tigers will be in it for the 80 but errors like those in Dublin will get punished very quickly. If the Tigers back row are at full strength then maybe the Saints can be slowed down. I wish Ford was still there to manage the game for the Tigers.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 10:18 am Honestly Kicking is prob our best chance of beating Saints.

The pessimism on this site is gruesome. This is a fans Forum of course we'll win whatever team we put out.

The signs since JVP has come back have been good, in terms of contestable box kicks.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 10:18 am Honestly Kicking is prob our best chance of beating Saints.

Agreed but you would also not expect the weekend squad to be sent out on club PR duty on a rest day. That is normally a job reserved for injured players or those not in the match day 23.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:15 pmOr often Thursday is rest day before Captains run on Friday

He's also been down to Pennyhill to do a session with the Red Roses this week
