Gloucester are 9th at the moment and I’d be shocked if they did any better than 8th next season.

Billy V to Montpellier for two seasons, where he’ll compete with Sam Simmonds for the 8 jersey.

Quite possible. Tuilagi is at the stage where he is going to have to take the highest available offer.
Farrell reportedly on around £800k at Saracens, can’t see any club paying that for a 32 year old. He’ll still be on good money though
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
I thought I’d seen a tweet some where stating Farrell as £625,000 and Tuilagi as £325,000. Which I think for Manu was a good deal couldn’t see any premiership clubs pay that, and forRugbygramps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:10 amQuite possible. Farrell I believe Saracens couldn’t afford to keep both him and Itoji, so after the abuse as the World Cup he probably thought he’d try and get away from it all for a couple of years in Paris.

I may be wrong but don’t think Manu was on that at Sales as he reportedly took a pay cut when he left Tigers . If that’s what Bayonne are paying him, they are unlikely to get more than 10 or 11 games out of him, then £30k a game seems a good dealStephen18 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:17 amI thought I’d seen a tweet some where stating Farrell as £625,000 and Tuilagi as £325,000. I got it from a rugby plant article so not sure how accurate it is, but funnily they are reporting that will be a pay cut for him, weather he signed a better deal when he re-signed a couple of seasons ago, makes you wonder how much we were paying him.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 11:35 amI may be wrong but don’t think Manu was on that at Sales as he reportedly took a pay cut when he left Tigers . Aren't the tax rules different in France? I could be wrong but whilst the actual salary might be less, the take home could be more?

Those figures also may include England squad earnings which they will no longer receive

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
I've read that in France taxes are at household not individual, so you total up all your earnings, divide by the number of people (including Children apparently) then pay tax on the basis of those thresholds. So a high single earning family with 4 kids effectively gets 4 tax free allowances & 4 lower tax brackets.
I am not sure on this, I was reading it about different pro-child policies on twitter rather than from a rugby perspective.
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!
