Both Deacons are not really known to be huggers.

Felipe Contepomi sat through the game with McKellar and Pinchen... definitely enough to start a rumour IMO
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Would be some attack coach! Probably nice balance if you keep Everard as defence coach (who’s done a great job imo!) keep Deacon, Harrison as general forwards and scrum. Then keep Smith as general backs. Gives a nice balance. Key is then how do we replace Aled? give Will Findlay a booster role or look to get someone external to replace?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 5:19 pm Felipe Contepomi sat through the game with McKellar and Pinchen... definitely enough to start a rumour IMO

It can’t be a coincidence. He isn’t just there watching Montoya, as he wouldn’t be likely to be sat with Pinchen and McKellar. Whenever Jones went to watch England players, he never sat with home club board members.

So he's leaving Leinster to join Argentina, could that be a World Cup only appointment?

Article is 2022 and he is already with Argentina.
I would have thought Contepomi would be looking at being the Argentina Head Coach long term so working with another top coach in another environment would be good for his development.
Do you need to look at your team captain and first name on the team sheet? Many other fringe players to look at.

Was anyone else recognised in that group sat with Andrea, no world class Strength amd Conditioning coaches enjoying a coincidental bit of corporate from us?

Listening to Lenny speaking on Radio Leicester, and he credited Danny Wilson's work these past few months. He's not staying, but he's not really been talked about in this run into form, so a bit of credit where it's due.

He was supposed to be working on the lineout and our rolling maul work was great at the weekend so I'd say he was doing well. He's going to be a good addition for Quins next season.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:37 pm Listening to Lenny speaking on Radio Leicester, and he credited Danny Wilson's work these past few months. I think Everard contribution needs to be credited too. IMHO, we are a better team defensively now than when Sinfield was here.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:37 pm Listening to Lenny speaking on Radio Leicester, and he credited Danny Wilson's work these past few months. We seem to have reduced our tackle height considerably, which is leading to more dominant collisions, and less penalties, just one yesterday for a seat belt I think.
Also a word for Matt Scott, defensively he was superb yesterday, and just showed how much he was missed against Leinster, though I don’t think he would of changed the outcome

Lenny was also talking about the focus in attack around the 22 in finding soft shoulders and developing 1-on-1 situationssam16111986 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:40 pmHe was supposed to be working on the lineout and our rolling maul work was great at the weekend so I'd say he was doing well. Interesting. Certainly shows the advantage of having an experienced coach on the staff.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:44 pmLenny was also talking about the focus in attack around the 22 in finding soft shoulders and developing 1-on-1 situationssam16111986 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:40 pmHe was supposed to be working on the lineout and our rolling maul work was great at the weekend so I'd say he was doing well.
