Despite that, an exciting interview!

I think what was more telling was that he said he'd come over have a look how the team functioned and then go from there. I'm hoping for evolution and not revolution.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 7:00 amI think the Pollard stuff was more the interviewer ledPellsey wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 6:21 amI hope he doesn't base the whole game around Pollard, as good as he is, we need to learn the mistakes of when we did that with Manu, he barely played, and we played like we didn't have a game plan!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 9:11 pm https://twitter.com/geerob/status/16344 ... lD0GQ&s=19

Re Pollard he's not going to talk down the club's marquee player.
Re: Dan McKellar to join Leicester Tigers as Head Coach
His positivity about the club on and off the field and that he will come in and assess what is already here there is the main message. Got the feeling he was taking some time to set himself up here so not back seat driving before his start date. I think we can also all be very positive. Seems a top bloke.

I got that impression too. Good to hear him talking positively and I think he will observe and make notes and pick brains whilst he’s here to scope things, then be ready to hit the ground running come July 1st.Offside wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 10:04 am His positivity about the club on and off the field and that he will come in and assess what is already here there is the main message. Already found in George Martin.
Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

A few more big runs like he had to today and he might be getting there.
Re: Dan McKellar to join Leicester Tigers as Head Coach
Energy of the 2nd row replacements made a big difference today. Not taking anything away fro the starters but the balance shifted to Tigers. Great to have all of the options. I hope all stay and Green gets another year or / with his knees too.

Agreed, Mattin and Henderson were immense. I also liked how the commentary explained their absences from the starting line upOffside wrote: ↑Sun Mar 12, 2023 3:20 pmEnergy of the 2nd row replacements made a big difference today. For those who didn't hear
Martin missed training at the start of the week (I do remember him being strapped up last week so probably needed a tad more recovery)
Henderson (I'm guessing post Gilchrist's red) was kept with Scotland till Thursday.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Hope he's up to the job because he has an unbelievable squad to choose from next season.

Good to see McKellar commenting on the new signings/re-signings. Heads off the inevitable questions about whether these are 'his' signings.
