Question is can they be caught or would we have wanted LI to lose the points..
Don’t see us catching Sharks, would have preferred Irish to lose.
I probably agree, but if we win vs Bristol with Sale on their bye week it does put us within one win which adds the pressure on them.

Either way it forces them to keep pushing against some of our playoff rivals which is no bad thing...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Lots of credit to the coaches and players in turning this season around. Mike Brown has made a huge impact to the teams impetuous, Full credit to his professionalism as too the rest of the squad.

i wonder if Brown has had a dual effect both on the pitch and off it? Bloke seems driven and ultra professional

Brilliant effort from every player to keep the crowd quiet. Had we let them in during the first half it could have been a different game, but we were very good defending our line again. Huge credit to Wiggy for the turnaround. His coaching credentials are growing.

Thought Lenny had his best game for a while. Porter was busy on his return too. Shoutout to Snyman as well. Did a proper job for 45mins, and then Martin and Henderson finished them off.

He knows he might not get another chance. Much like Ashton he's desperate to prove to people he's still got it.

He seems a fairly soft spoken person off the pitch but I'm sure the younger guys are picking his brain about his positioning etc.

Huge win - proud that they battled for the 5th point - with such a close race that point could be crucial. And we are finishing games strong again.

Brown and BY exceptional.

It wasn’t that long we were cursing England for nicking all our players. It’s all a pleasant surprise to see the rest of the squad step up.

Wasn’t able to see the game today, what a result though!! Was it a collective team effort or some stand out displays!!

Having that world class core of Pollard, Montoya, Wiese and the Berg we seem to be a match for anybody at the moment!!

His try was well taken but I thought he had his typical mixed bag.

Stand outs for me...

Montoya
Brown
Youngs
Martin
Henderson

Was nil nil first half and Martin and Henderson's introduction IMO changed the game (note Wells & Snyman played well but once on Martin and Henderson were a step up)

Just listened to Matt Scott's LTTV interview on Twitter. Interesting how he talked about playing into a strong wind in the first half, the strong wind clearly explains our decisions to go for the corner.

Unpopular opinion maybe but Wigglesworth is wasted under Borthwick imo.

Don’t get me wrong Steve is still a great young coach but he plays his way.

Wigglesworth things haven’t been perfect but the team adapt far quicker than under Borthwick.

Would’ve been nice to see him with Mckeller

+1

Do we know if Everard deserves the credit for our recent defensive displays or did Sinfield put in some of the foundations?

Possibly, I guess it depends on how long he stays with England, my guess would be a couple years. In my mind there is no doubt given he will get another head coaching job in the Prem at some point given how well he has done.
