Sale are nowhere near as good as Saracens .

Yeah I also saw posts last week that we would win at Sarries
If we did it must have been the toss

How many times has there been a game with Borthwick when there hasn't been a reaction.
I fully expect us to react positively to the loss. Doesn't mean we'll win, but doubt Borthwick will allow that to occur again.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

The strength of a professional sportsman/team is how they bounce back. The game will be reviewed areas of improvement will be looked at and the squad will move. We have not become a bad team overnight, and I think our end of season position in the table will reflect this.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 11:15 am How many times has there been a game with Borthwick when there hasn't been a reaction.

Never mind. We were never going to attain the heights of last season, but the important bit comes at the end of the season i.e. getting in the playoffs. We have a big injury list, and staying within the cap means we were not able to keep a key part of our success (Moroni), let alone losing Genge and Ford.
PS I will refrain from Quins comments about Sarries retention of established internationals.

Excellent post. It was mention that Nick Kennedy is now in charge of Sarries recruitment which is how they signed McFarlandjgriffin wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 3:03 pm Never mind. Agreed RTR particularly strength off the bench. Porter is supposed to be injured so maybe Scott in at 13.
I do hope that Cocanasinga isn’t hung out to dry. The major flaw in his game, running too high into contact, and thus getting held up, can be sorted out through coaching, and I’m sure he has a decent future ahead of him.

Is SB likely to pick, as starters, any of our England training group?

A little work on technique certainly but a bit more running threat in the centres alongside him would stop the opposition being able to double mark him with both centres. Not many centres are going to power through a double team tackle from Tompkins and Lozowski those boys are both experienced and have played in big games.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:03 pm Agreed RTR particularly strength off the bench. He's definitely another young guy with bags of potential.

Not sure about that, I thought that if they hadn't trained with us during the week, he would not select them, so expect a weakened team?
