We can hope! I’d try and have him on the bench for the next couple of games and ease him in around 40 mins at a time. Hopefully he is right and ready properly for Sale this weekendTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 9:16 pm https://twitter.com/BBCRLSport/status/1 ... tBlyg&s=19
Borthwick on Pollard:To my mind that doesn't read like a knee injury. They're not normally described as "bangs"He took a little bang, and that is being assesed currently

Don't forget Watson was supposedly touch & go for the Exeter game, so until you see players actually on the field the words are just that.
Pollard should never have been anywhere near that "pitch" Saturday.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Ollie Chessum supposedly seen on crutches during the England training camp.
In better news Nic Dolly's Instagram video has him doing cycling and work with his knee so possible seeing him this side of Christmas if we're lucky

Hegarty back training, first time I've seen him in a training video after the injury in the Falcons preseason game

Re: 22/23 Injury & Suspension list
Nic Dolly has posted a video on Instagram of him running on a treadmill (with a sealed recovery thing attached). With the caption: first km in the bank.
So he's just started running again.
Also in the background of the video is Ollie Chessum. Not on crutches (only standing though) but it does appear to be a rehab section of the club facilities

Obviously Ashton failed his HIA, I did also wonder if Wiese came off for one post getting a knee in the head from Van Wyk

Good thing, if it can be described as such is that we have till November 11th to clear any HIA, also Jasper will be with the Boks by then.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:44 pm Obviously Ashton failed his HIA, I did also wonder if Wiese came off for one post getting a knee in the head from Van Wyk

Pollard has had a knee op according to the SA coach so will be out for a little while and would be struggling for autumn internationals. By the sound of it, inly a few weeks out potentially?

Pollard pictured on Instagram at todays event in normal clothing, no strapping or boot viewable, so hopefully just a minor op. Big plus to have him through November if it is.

Re: 22/23 Injury & Suspension list
In that SA report of a month or so ago it mentioned that it was a meniscus (cartilage in old money) issue not a ligament issue or reoccurrence of the ACL injury.
If he took a bang as Steve B said then keyhole surgery to cut out or tidy up the meniscus might be all it is which is 4 weeks maybe less if it settles down quickly.
that would also explain the lack of strapping as it’s not major surgery.
All complete guesswork but may be true - fingers crossed anyway

Chess was wandering around with some of the boys at the Newcastle game. Didn't see anything impeding him.

Dolly has been on instagram doing loads of exercises so hopefully may be close to contact training.
