Thanks for sharing TFS. I read this to mean that we are not going to see Pollard in a Tigers shirt until at least November...TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 12:42 pm https://www.rugbypass.com/news/the-80-p ... rd-and-am/
Have just grabbed this article from the Rugby Championship thread....
There's two ways of viewing this.
1. Pollard is out till past the AI's
2. Pollard is possibly back before the AI's but SA want him to gain match fitness rather than putting him straight back into the Springbok setup

Or 3. Tigers medical staff have said "hands off".
(for those who don't click the link it does say he's under the car of Tigers' medics/S&C)

That would be nice, but I can't remember a time when Tigers have ever done that.. Anybody?!Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 1:40 pm Or 3. Tigers medical staff have said "hands off".

Re: 22/23 Injury & Suspension list
so - some conflicting news on Pollard,
Was seen in training on Tuesday and is expected to maybe bench v saints - reliable internal source.
yet news on twitter suggesting out till post AI's....
where the truth lies????

Re: 22/23 Injury & Suspension list
There is a senario that both could be true
If SA want him to get games under his belt and "prove" fitness so won't pick him, instead plan on using the AIs to test other 10 options prior to the World Cu0

I wouldn’t be surprised if pollard ruled himself out and that Alex is working with the Boks to get Pollard back to 2019 fitness

Ok depending on whether that's non-contact or contact training he's either a minimum of 24 or 48 hours away from being match fit. (Minimum of 24 hours between each phase from non-contact before contact training then another day till you're allowed in a match from contact training)Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 6:01 pm Freddie Burns on Instagram saying he has been given the green light by the medics to resume team training
Either way so long as he remains symptom free he'll be ok for the derby but probably not allowed to play in the PRC (which I highly doubt he'd be in anyway)

Re: 22/23 Injury & Suspension list
Few weeks ago his instagram story showed him throwing his leg brace in the bin.
Still doing strengthening work on it. At a guess I'd say return possibly this side of Christmas, but so hard to say. What can be seen from his Instagram story is his determination to succeed and return.

Possible injuries in the PRC last night to Browning, Edwards & Jansen. Adding them to the list.

Have updated Dan Kelly with the info from Tigerbeat on him. Expected back approximately end of October. That does suggest he probably won't be back in time to get in the AI mix, so it may mean it's less likely to lose Kelly then.
