Nice backline Kelly and Porter could work really well.

If he's filled out enough then that could be very handy. He's got a good workrate and is a good lineout jumper.
No sign of Ford yet is a slight worry. Hopefully he'll be back for next week. He's been taking part in pre season training on the vids posted online.

I'd say its pretty normal for nailed on starters to only play the last pre-season game so next week will be the real telling sign of who is fit or not IMOsam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 2:09 pmIf he's filled out enough then that could be very handy. I'm pretty sure Chessum played his junior club and county rugby at lock.

With our former lock as well.
"Brother" Bateman & Holmes not involved probably good for Greg, think some of our squad might of had a point to make to him...
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Really glad to see Burns is fit, guessing it was a precaution more than anything
Also I see that Porter is at 13, that's a sign that Taute is still not fully fit and with Moroni away, he's likely to play there a bit.
Chessum is being tried at lock before Martin is, that to me suggests that Martin may be in the back row for the foreseable.
All in all an interesting team

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I’m not sure why people are surprised Chessum is at lock. That’s his position. Like many young locks, he’s been playing back row because he’s still mobile, but he’s over 2m tall and pushing 120kg. That’s getting close to big tighthead lock territory.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 8:06 pm Really glad to see Burns is fit, guessing it was a precaution more than anything

Does any one know who the officials are?

Interesting to see how this new kick to touch rule plays out
