Lavanini over green for me. Start with Scott and Moroni with Kelly to the bench as a great impact

It's a bit of a juggle just a week before the final. But I'd give our first choice backline a week to play together before the final. Liebenberg deserves a break and think Martin has played a lot sincethe 6N. I'd give Henderson another start, see from there.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
Not sure about Ford. Not suggesting we wrap him up in cotton wool but he is so instrumental and key to our chance of success in the final. Whatever side SB picks I’m hoping for a big performance at home to try and get a little confidence and momentum before the final

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
Personally I'd bench Heyes for the coming weekend then start him in the final. I think his form warrants the start ahead of Coley. He's been excellent this season.
1.Genge
2.Youngs
3.Cole
4.Lavanini
5.Henderson
6.Martin
7.Reffell
8.Wiese
9.Youngs
10.Ford
11.Nadolo
12.Kelly
13.Moroni
14.Murimurivalu
15.Steward
16.Clare
17.de Bruin
18.Heyes
19.Green
20.Brink
21.Youngs
22.Henry
23.Porter
Similar to others I'd like to see the first choice backline start together but for me Murimurivalu is definitely in that.
Liebenberg and Wells the key players to rest ahead of a game against an enormous Montpellier pack.

Don’t forget Quins are without Evans and Esterhuizen, and we are at home. No excuses!

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
If Quinns win tomorrow it takes the pressure off us for 8th place, but I still think us finishing in the top 8 in the league is vital for next season as part of our building of the side. Should we throw everything into the final and lose it, we finish the season with nothing tangible to show for it. We know Quinns are in the playoff fight and we are a bit behind, but at home even without the fans, I'd like to think we will go strong for this fixture.

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
I wonder with Clare playing so long on Friday if Montoya might be fit for Saturday.
Would be tempted to give Heyes the weekend off & start with Cole & Genge, Whitcombe & DuBruin on the bench.
Reffell to play if fit, (we just look better balanced with him in the side), Brink & Weisse at 6 & 8, let Hanro have a week off, the 2nd row I would like to see Henderson play again with either Wells or Green.
As for the backs, whatever the plan for the final is they should play, a bit of cohesion in the backs might help the attack, the forwards seem better at rotation at present.
No pointless or rank bad kicking & some attempt to play when the first whistle sounds would be an improvement.

To win is not as important as playing with style!
Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
No injuries or red cards then anything near a win would be a great afternoon’s work.
I agree about Hanro as I feel we can I’ll afford injuries to him or Wiese: Montpellier have a huge pack.
Quins can score from anywhere so need to get kick chase spot on.
Marcus Smith and Marchant class acts.

The more I see Marcus Smith the more I believe he has to be given a chance by England. A Les Cusworth ( that shows my age)who can tackle!

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
Couldn’t argue with that as a strong team! Add Montoya to starting hooker and either Clare or Youngs in the bench and that’s my first choice 23RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 3:58 pm 1. Genge, 2. Clare, 3. Cole
