Sat 20th March - Exeter away
Next weekend I'd like to see us go for Chiefs full bore. No need for a rotation weekend with Wiese and England lads back the following weekend.
I'd go pretty much the same side, other than I'd swap Lavannini if fit into the starting lineup with Wells if he's fit enough.
I'd also bring Nadolo onto the bench, just having him there will give Exeter pause for thought.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

On the worst pitch I have seen in over a decade it is going to a proper arm wrestle.

I'd have Chessum in the starting lineup. We've failed to get close to the opposition lineout in recent weeks and Chessum has looked good off the bench and is our best available jumper. Having him and Liebenburg as targets should make it easier on our hooker and we can hopefully apply pressure to the Chiefs lineout. Reffell played the full 80 yesterday so probably move him to the bench and with Chessum/Brink/Liebenburg we can physically match up to what Chiefs will field.

And if George Martin isn’t chosen by Eddie Jones then he would need some game time. I agree about having a go at Exeter. Nothing to lose but keep the same sort of team. The league is tight from Quins down so any points picked up now are vital.
As some of us have said,”Any team could get that 4th place!”
We have already rested players or have had them rested due to suspensions. Quins, Exeter, Sale, Irish and Bath have hardly rotated.
Let’s go for it.

I’ve got a feeling we’ll rotate like at Bristol and target the Newcastle game.

Thing is with 5 guys coming back the week after, I don't think we'll need to rotate too much.

They don’t always play after being away for a period of time.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 5:46 pmThing is with 5 guys coming back the week after, I don't think we'll need to rotate too much.

Good point, and there’s usually a comedown period too when internationals return.Dokie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 6:01 pmThey don’t always play after being away for a period of time.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 5:46 pmThing is with 5 guys coming back the week after, I don't think we'll need to rotate too much.

Genge & Martin have hardly been overworked, Youngs & Ford who knows...might benefit from a week of rest & seeing what "attack" plans we might have apart from kicking.

In my opinion Genge definitely needs game time. Only been getting 20 minutes game time and I think it would do him good to get back on the pitch for longer.
