Both the Sydney Uni players look good signings.
It's the type of moneyball signings we should look to make more often.

Wiese, he was absolutely everywhere causing a menace in both attack and defence.
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Thanks Tigers. Great bonus point win.
Now please back it up next weekend and the next and the next etc!

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up
Proper team performance. Everyone showed up committed and on the same page. That is the least we should expect. Wiese is an animal and Wigglesworth an extra coach on the field. Loved how comfortable potter and porter looked and Kelly looks like he's grown since September!
Fit, physical, disciplined (only 4 penalties against I think!) - borthwick and aled have delivered in their first meaningful match. If we can get over the away day hoodoo next week I think we should be getting excited.

A team rejuvinated it was a transformation in game plan and performance. The elephant in the room is why did Murphy have to depart before this has happened ???
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Hurts to say but maybe he was the problem.

Sadly I think Murphy was the problem: I just think he mishandled the younger players right from the start and moaned to the media about certain players.
I am a huge fan of Geordan but believe the pressure on him to pull tigers round was too great! My first worry was after the Worcester away game the season when we beat Newcastle to stay up he blamed one youngster straight after the game when there were more experienced players on the field at the end. Then poor Geordan carried on at other times, naming players. Have a word one to one with the players but don’t blame players in public!

I think it's too early to say who was the problem.
We have had this happen a few times.
When MOC left, When Bakewell arrived.
My HOPE is that maybe with Borthwick and Wigglesworth influence we have stopped with the looking too the past.

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up
Been in contact with a friend of mine who is a Glaws fan and both of us commented on how many each side also has missing to add to the 23 both sides put on the park.
By my reckoning we have a bakers dozen unavailable for one reason or another. He thought Glaws had 9.
For me, the pack was a huge upgrade on sides we've put out in international windows before. To have Brink on the bench to add to the huge carrying of Wiese and Liebenberg, who I thought was immense (again) is streets away from where we have been.
As has been said on another.thread - hats off to Jan McGinty on the recruitment front.
As several have said, we've got to back it up now next week. That'll be the big test.
