I do think Laumape could be an ideal Manu replacement in terms of the physicality he brings to midfield. He definitely appears to be a falling out of the AB picture a bit, with Lienert-Brown and Goodhue looking the favoured pairing, and the likes of Ennor and Ioane going well at 13. Plus if you still have to try and fit in both Barrett’s, McKenzie and Mo’unga.
New Zealand’s decision to drop him for the World Cup was utterly stupid, okay he wouldn’t have saved their skins in the semifinal but it’s ridiculous that he isn’t favoured more by the All Blacks. Oh well they’re loss if he moves abroad!
It was an odd decision to only take SBW as a centre with bosh capabilities he wasn't in his prime and they did lack a bit in the centres.
Laumape's try yesterday really showed off his skills; nice step, real pace and then powering over the line. He'll be waiting to see what they revamped coaching set up want for the ABs before he looks at heading off north for cash. He'll go for big money if he heads north as well, he's the kind of player the French and Japanese clubs will be after.
I don't watch a lot of Super Rugby, but are there any players who are first or second choice at any of the NZ franchises who we wouldn't want to see at Tigers?
Seems like the top 10 Kiwis in each position are all going to be pretty useful...

I think when signing new players, you’re either looking for an upgrade or to fill an existing gap in the squad. I certainly wouldn’t want them all, some of their props and locks aren’t that great, but there are some very exciting back 3 players both established and coming through.

Nasi Manu is looking for a club. He'd fit the bill as injury cover for Brink very well.
Josh Strauss is also available but I'm hoping we look to sign players under the age of 30 unless they can have a Brad Thorn type of influence
If they are short term cover in a position we have no massive depth like 8 or LH, maybe centre or fullback as well then it's not too bad. Give us more time to identify other options or develop our own solution.
Nasi Manu seemed to be getting good write ups for his efforts in Italy last season. Rumours linking him with Ospreys though.

With the Béziers agreement falling through, I would love to entice Semesa Rokodugini here.
Sorry JP but I would prefer to develop the young home grown playing strengths we have in the backs, they need game time and this gives them the opportunity.
As for Jammy Roberts in the previous post, A BIG NO! Full of his own importance, a butterfly club man, overweight and way past his best years ~ so it is maximum monies to top up his pension whilst also working in the NHS.

Big no from me too as well as Roberts, I mean how old is smoking Joe now, he’s playing in some of historic highlights they’re showing during the New Zealand games.
