Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Rather a fit and keen Hamilton than any of the current uninterested incumbents!
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6
6.Fitzgerald
7.O'Connor
8.Thompson
20.Reffell
If Hamilton were in the squad I'd still go with that for the Falcons game.
He is a good player but in the squad Tigers should looking to put together he'd be playing a role that should be filled by academy grads who are hungry for game time.
That said I would take Hamilton over Mike Williams on this seasons form. Better workrate in attack and defence plus he actually offers a breakdown presence.

Hamilton is a class 6, but was played out of position in his 1st season because our other options were dire and then last season MOC played him out of position at 7. He was a leader too! I’d have him back!
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6
He was good whilst here, but why are Edinburgh letting him go after 1 year, presumably he wasn't good enough for them, so why would we want him back?
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6
Me too, it was his enthusiasm that got me cheering. It would be fantastic to have him back. The only players who looked committed this season were the reserves against Wasps.

Leicester need to be interested in the type of Edinburgh players such as Watson and Mata and not a fringe player.
It's not that Hamilton isn't a decent player, but a fringe player from another club shouldn't be getting in ahead of opportunities to players like Reffell in my opinion.

Agreed. We've got enough squad level players. If we're signing another backrower they need to be someone who has the ability to command a first team shirt.BFG wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:39 pm Leicester need to be interested in the type of Edinburgh players such as Watson and Mata and not a fringe player.

Backrow for first team next year so far;
6. Taufua, Denton
7. Thomson, Reffell
8. Kalamafoni
Some may step up from the development squad and we don't know for certain about Fitz and BOC.

JB from Eggchasers Rugby Podcast has just tweeted this:
"The wheels are now officially off at Leicester Tigers.
Matt Toomua asks for a release with immediate effect.
Tigers have refused.
I am sure he will be a real asset for the remainder of the season."
I've been trying to find another source for this, but can't so far!

he hasn't exactly added much since Aus turned his head.
Trouble is we have no one else nearly.

Can't be anything in that surely, his head's in other places at the moment for sure but he's still a professional with a reputation to maintain, and bailing on your team in this state would smash that all to bits.Carver510 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:32 pm JB from Eggchasers Rugby Podcast has just tweeted this:

Recent comments directed to his family wouldn't have helped.
