+1 That cover tackle he did in the Wasps game last year ranks near the top my best memories at Welford Road.kpj tiger wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 1:04 pm A great Tigers servant who gave his all, thanks for the memories Mat

Re: Tait Retires
Many thanks Matt; sorry it had to end this way. That try-saving tackle on Jimmy Gopperth was the greatest I have ever seen!
All the best for the future.

Re: Tait Retires
A fantastic alround asset just a shame he didn't come to us earlier in his careerkpj tiger wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 1:04 pm A great Tigers servant who gave his all, thanks for the memories Mat

God created rugby so footballers have heros too
Re: Tait Retires
His performance in the play-off semi v Quins was extraordinary. Still on You tube so worth another look.
Good luck Mat!

Re: Tait Retires
A very good player in his time with us. Would have had more England caps were it not for injury early in his career. Best wishes for the future and thanks Matt.
I'm not cynical just experienced
Re: Tait Retires
Always a name I was happy to see on the team sheet. Top quality player, who may well have been even better with more luck re injuries.
Agreed re that tackle - one of the top 3 defensive pieces of play I've seen at Welford Road since I began watching games in 1989!
Best of luck to him for the future.

Re: Tait Retires
Will be sorely missed.
Mat, you may not have started out at Welford Road but you certainly played like a true Tiger once you joined and continued to do so throughout your time here. Thanks for the memories. All the best with whatever you decide to do next.

As Good As It Gets
Re: Tait Retires
Fine player but sooner or later one of the many injuries he suffered was going to end his career.
Good luck for the future.

Re: Tait Retires
Sad news. Always thought he played for and took pride in the shirt. Good luck Matt.
