Along with biting and gouging citings. There are some nasty people about it seems.
Re: Interesting citing....
Hartley must be feeling left out.
Still, plenty of time. He has just come back after all.

Re: Interesting citing....
Swinson's is thoroughly deserved. As he also seemed to make contact with the Saints players eye region, could be a big one. And more or less cost his side the game............

And now Ashton as well ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/35347015
Great way to celebrate your return to the England fold (if found guilty of course).

If he'd broken Dickson's jaw, the donations from the refs alone would've paid Wilson's legal costs.fentiger wrote:Straight from Premiership Rugby Twitter feed:

(PS this is meant to be humorous and a comment on Dickson's propensity to gob off with much f-ing, usually at refs and TJs).

Re: Interesting citing....
Just looked at the video of this - looks reckless and will come with a reasonable ban I suspect.
Seems to be trying to hold the Dickson back to stop him interfering with the ball at the base of the scrum - but it has to be easier to step your outside leg out and prevent him that way rather than sticking your arm out (especially when the man is already beyond you and you're trying to drag him back)

Next time Glasgow are on TV, wait for the commentator to say 'Ryan Wilson, balls in hand......'

Re: Interesting citing....
I can't see any excuse for Ashton. Not for the first time he's gone over the top with a cheap shot. He has a nasty streak.
Re: Interesting citing....
Looks like that could even be mid-entry. Rather than just grab, he looks to me like he's trying to squeeze or twist. Certainly manipulate in some way.Tyzot wrote:https://gfycat.com/MaleUntimelyAnkole
It might be a bit funny because it's happening to a man's naughty bits, but that would be sensationally painful. It's a disgusting act of foul play, and one of those unwritten rules - a line that you don't cross as a player. A deserved lengthy ban awaits.

Re: Interesting citing....
Ashton's reputation is always going to haunt him. The challenge was stupid but for me that clip doesn't show him going for the eyes. I hope he doesn't get a lengthy ban because I must be one of the few people who was looking forward to seeing him play for England again, he's been playing very well the last couple of seasons.
