Apparently, according to Fissler in the Rugby Paper and now sort of confirmed by themselves, Wasps are moving to Coventry!

Don't think it will happen would be the beginning of the end for them.
Coventry already have Saints, tigers and Glous supporters.

Re: Insects on the move!
Are they going to the Ricoh?
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man
Re: Insects on the move!
Apparently the Ricoh, being sponsored by Land Rover who are calling the shots!

Don't forget their own Coventry RFC.RagingBull wrote:Don't think it will happen would be the beginning of the end for them.

Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
Re: Insects on the move!
The possibility of a move to Coventry seems to have a lot of emphasis although the last lines in the press seem to say this is unlikely or short term or that a move closer to London is more probable. I don't think it would be a good move for Wasps but it does make you think a bit more about the timing of the name change earlier this year.

No everybody's sending them to Coverntry because of their new kit choice.

Re: Insects on the move!
Time to re-brand to Coventry Wasps.
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
Re: Insects on the move!
Perhaps they will be called "Coventry Bees". Brum brum
Re: Insects on the move!
Northampton Stains are playing some games at the Ricoh this season, but nobody wants to rebrand them as Coventry Nice-Chaps.

Apparently the above is starting to look serious, and permanent.

Re: Insects on the move!
Seems a bit strange after the name change to London Wasps. I suspect a case of business meets sport. Perhaps Wasps will end up in London, but money will be made along the way.

Re: Insects on the move!
The "London" was adopted in 1999 and dropped in June 2014 so not so strange.GS wrote:Seems a bit strange after the name change to London Wasps. I suspect a case of business meets sport. Perhaps Wasps will end up in London, but money will be made along the way.
