Owen Williams (Cardiff) neck injury
Terribly sad news for Owen Williams of Cardiff blues and the whole rugby community after he suffered a "significant injury" to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord. I'm sure we all wish him the best for the future especially given our support of Hambo. I'm no expert on this subject so does anyone have any information on what this could mean for the lad?

Thoughts are with him and his family.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

So sorry to hear of such an injury to one so young. The whole of the rugby community will be thinking of him and the family and pray that they stay strong for his sake.
Hambo :- He was with England when he was injured, but he was a Tigers player, our player. He is still our player.”

Dreadful for him and his family, I'm sure Hambo and his organisation will be of some assistance and support when/if needed.
Don't waste your time away thinking about yesterday's blues

Re: Owen Williams neck injury
Best of luck to him and his family , from the top of the game to the junior level this can happen . Hope it turns out to be less serious than it currently it seems .

I had a double take when I first swa this & thought it referred to our fly half Owen Williams, and although relieved tofind it was'nt, still very sad for such a talented young centre, if there is any permanent damage I hope that the Matt Hampson Sports injury trust fund will be able to help in some way.

Same thoughts here. Perhaps the mods can change the title of the thread to make it clear that it is not our OW.Noddy555 wrote:I had a double take when I first was this & thought it referred to our fly half Owen Williams, .
I hope the lad recovers and gets all the best medical and emotional support possible. Fingers crossed it is not as bad as it appears. Thoughts are with his family.
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
Re: Owen Williams neck injury
Please leave the title unaltered.
I would have thought that all of us will be equally concerned about this injury regardless of the club he plays for.
I echo what others have said and wish him a speedy recovery - the incident was so innocuous looking in the build up.
I hope he recovers well.

You misunderstood what I was saying, of course the concern is same regardless of the club the player plays for but anyone looking at the thread title would automatically assume it is about our player.Tigerref wrote:Please leave the title unaltered.

Have we any further news on his condition, I do hope the lad makes a full recovery as do we all?
