The only answer is to write them off for this season and see them back to full fitness for next season

As someone said previously, Manu needs to rebuild the muscles and this cannot be rushed and February was an estimate....knowing others who have gone through similar surgery the rehab can rake longer especially when he will have big impacts when tackling.
It needs to be managed very carefully and no risks taken. Would be great to see him back in February but I have my doubts.
RWA wrote:Interesting what Ben Kay & Oz were saying on BT Sport the other day about injuries.in years gone by, Manu's injury would have popped his shoulder out and he'd have come back after a short lay off but with the muscle that has been built up through weights it's damaged the whole muscle and he's out for longer as a result.

Charles Dagnall has tweeted

Leicester Tigers centre Dan Bowden is out for 10-12 weeks with a fractured cheekbone & eye socket.

Horrendous news for Tigers and Dan lets hope he makes a swift and full recovery. Is it now time we got another injury dispensation :smt045

We have spent all of the injury dispensation money that is allowed under the rules.

Have we really? Sorry I thought we had only spent money on Hepetema as an injury dispensation?

Good point but after the RFU dismissal of the citing of the Tuitupou punch it would be futile :smt013

I'm pretty sure it happened in the tackle immediately prior to him going off. The sound made in the contact made me wince.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

This is absolutely terrible news. It means it's imperative that Ant Allen is back for the Heineken games or else it's curtains for us. Matt Smith is not a 12. Only other option for this weekend would be to play Flood at 12.

Hopefully this isn't the last we've seen of Dan in a Tigers shirt as rumours of him leaving were going around not long ago.

Why cant people just let me have a happy new year. Did you have to give me such bad news? Next you will be telling me Salvi is out for the season or that Flood is leaving. :smt003
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
