I agree with AR's decision to pick goodey as he has a far better kicking game when compared to CH and has a great miss pass. But will the south africans pick this out as a weakness remember England have had 2 tries scored against them from interceptions and the South Africans got one last week and they have a history for scoring from intercepts.
All the good talk about his boot I can agree with, but his miss pass is awful and if it is intercepted at club level, at international level it will be awful. His show-and-go is more show-and-no-go.westwinds31 wrote:I agree to a certain extent, but Goodey can play an expansive game and he does have a decent flat missed pass that he fires out. Admittedly, its been intercepted on occasion when he's used it at Tigers, but he has also set up a lot of our attacking moves over the years.
He is a decent player, but he is not expansive.

Goode is at his best thumping it upfield and letting the big boys shove it up their jumper. Route one rugby. So I guess I am agreeing with Jiffy. No point asking Andy to do what he can't do.
England have plumbed the depths, have they not, if that is our best chance of being 'respectable' on the world stage ? I accept that we had to go with Goode this weekend, but if anyone thinks that Goode can be the engine for a slick backline then they are sadly, and unfortunately, mistaken.

Horrible site, full of bile without much humour, IMO. I never go on it anymore.
