As Matt Stevens's shoulder injury has failed to respond as quickly as anticipated, he underwent a further operation to repair his rotator cuff tendon on Monday 31st July with Mr Andrew Wallace in London.
He will be recuperating for the next six weeks before beginning his rehabilitation programme.
His rehabilitation will continue to be co-ordinated by Bath and England's medical teams, but it is not anticipated that Matt will be available for selection for the Investec Challenge matches in the autumn.
So why are the rfu medical team involved? More money down the drain?
Matt Stevens
