Re: London Irish Away
Bit over the top. Display was bit good enough because we were no where near accurate enough. We just need to tighten up some aspects of our play and we start winning games like that. Still a definite improvement on last season. For starters the defence was a lot better and bar one miss communicatio...

Re: London Irish Away
What are we? Still a team of lemmings rushing over the cliff! Horrific, banal, and guttless display Bit over the top. Display was bit good enough because we were no where near accurate enough. Re: London Irish Away
Perhaps we will just throw next weeks game..return of Covid? Think it shows how poor Glaws were last week & the value of picking a 7 at 7. Yup. A big back row like we had in the first half has to work in concert to make yards. Bang, offload, bang offload, bang offload. Single running ball carri...

Re: Matera
According to "rugbyworldcup-argentina2023 blog spot" (think that's right), MRI scan reveals shoulder injury requiring surgery, caused whilst tackling Ruan Pienaar. Maybe available for their November internationals.

Re: Clermont travel?
3 of us booked up, going Eurostar and staying at the Hotel Lafayette. Anyone else staying there? Stayed there last time we played Clermont, not to bad, handy for ground/rail/centre etc, but remember the breakfast being pretty ordinary, looking out over the car park! I think we met you and your frie...

Re: Fridays game in Geneva
taking into account all the points made in this thread, the glaringly obvious difference between the two sides, was Montpelliers speedy ability to offload in the tackle, rarely taking the "go to ground" option. I was rather impressed with them, lets hope its raining in December !

Re: Ospreys v Tigers
Cockers will definitely start with Cole and Ayerza (& rightly so I think, Ospreys have a decent scrum and it is the only area we know we can dominate [n.b. Tandy said "There is going to be a real edge on Sunday and the scrum is going to be a big area of the game. We felt a few decisions di...

Re: Toulouse...Who's going and how are you getting there
"Frog and Rosbif" good for ale brewed on site (similar to the old "Firkin" pubs) - Rue de l'industrie - and if I remember correctly, there is a curry house directly opposite ! I think it's called the New Delhi. After our experience of French curry houses in Perpignan, we don't b...

Re: Toulouse...Who's going and how are you getting there
Driving from Norfolk via Eurotunnel on Thursday before the match, stop off in Chamberet near Limoges until Saturday morning, drive to Toulouse, booked into "Le Grande Hotel de L'Opera" overnight, did consider the "Albert 1er", since we stayed there the last time we played in Toul...

Re: Flood injured - out for up to 6 weeks!!!
Flood is out for a few weeks. Our options are limited, as Ford is away at Leeds. Staunton must start, with 12Ts as cover. What concerns me is that it has been weeks (if not months) since Jeremy has played first team rugby! Also with the imminent return of AA (we hope), this would leave a 10/12 axis ...

Re: Any Team News ?
publandlord Are you suggesting that Irish match officials might be minded to discriminate against Tigers? Surely not. :smt043 :smt043 :smt043 Bill, I remember that crew flying over to Perpignan on our plane last year, then proceeding to nearly run me off the road on the way from the airport in thei...
