Re: Championship Clubs Promotion

Laughable really, there has been in the past decade Premiership clubs with no ground of their own, no financial plan that would have got passed by any authority anywhere on the planet and some did also struggle to get 5000 fans, even when giving tickets away for free. But let's kid ourself that all...

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

Agree that the best two teams are in the final but will be interesting to see if they both sustain it next season with no World Cup and all teams starting on a level playing field. Unsure of the ins and outs for both sides. Both have 2 comparatively young squads. Saints losing Lawes and Ludlam, wit...

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

IMO only there was nothing to choose in quality and there could have been no complaints had the results gone the other way.
One of the points of difference in both games was the impact of the bench for both the winning sides

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

Two close semi finals but to be honest the Bath Sale match felt like a third/fourth place playoff. Neither of those teams deserves to have a crack at the title. More worryingly a minority of bath fans seem to be intent on bringing hooliganism to their ground. Not sure what the incident with Hill hi...

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

2 great semi finals. Going to be the old enemy against the neighbours in the final. Going to go with Bath for the win, much as I dislike Guscott standing there with his glass of red, I’m a big fan of what Van Graam has achieved and an example of what can happen if given a little time. Only slight c...

Samhorace wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 8:46 am Good game for a neutral. Saints deserved the win and an ex tiger (Healy) helped to secure it by calling the George try out for off side. Would the TMO have mention it if not for his comments?
They were checking it anyway and was the right decision

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

I'm in the very unusual position of being sorry Sarries lost. Come on people it's SAINTS! Being more hopeful than anything that Sale can come through, as I really don't want to deal with crowing neighbours... Going to be interesting I’d like to see Sale win this afternoon but as a rugby fan what a ...

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

Right team won and has been mentioned their scrum and defence are the difference this season good luck to them at HQ. As for Sarries rebuild coming up though most of the pieces are in place it’s the hole left at 10 that’s going to take some filling. Other than that is George still their best hooker ...

Where did you read that? As I understood it, the ticketing system has changed and all tickets are bought from the host club.

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

Does anyone with medical knowledge know what injury Farrell might have to stop him kicking at goal but alright from hand I think he's only kicked twice and once was off the left foot. I suspect he's got some sort of muscular niggle and they don't want to risk him exacerbating it by kicking as they ...

Looks pretty full to me.
Does now tbf. Must have been recorded a little before kick off. Saints fans must have snapped up the returned 500

So Sale's "normal" centre pairing (when GF at 10) 😉
Some might even say their strongest pairing, though I couldn’t comment
