Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Is it difficult for people to understand that retained players may want an increase in wages none more so than Senior Academy.players that are promoted to the men's squad or young players that have become internationals and enhanced their value. The cap cannot judged by fans simply on the grounds t...

I for one would advocate and support the club following a path that sees the club moving towards financial stability and then maybe even profit over the obsession of spending the cap every year. I think we have cut back everything else we can and our losses last year were improved only pay the paym...

I think a more experienced stop gap might be a logical idea, but might be an unaffordable one. Shillcock has proved he can do a job at 10 so I think focus should probably be on recuiting Pollard's replacement ahead of next season IF he is moving on. I'd prefer a decent project player. I used him as...

When we were so poor in the final quarter, I really struggle to be sympathetic to "reverse close losses" argument as well. Particularly when selection has been poor IMO. If we're struggling later on then load the bench with a bit more experience and trust some younger players to start. Wh...

Would like to see Ben Donaldson in a Tigers shirt, but highly doubt we could tempt him away from Australia

nice and inclusive of those that have an opinion differing from yours. Seems to me you’re the one who doesn’t like differing opinions. You asked for the bigger picture which I’ve given you, I’ve again given my opinion on the I’ve heard brigade, not just you, and a number of others feel the same, an...

Think McKellar was dealt a poor hand, and both attack and S&C seemed a significant downturn from the previous regime. Two or three close results went the other way, w e'd be in the playoffs. That's not anywhere near as bad as some think, just not brilliant. I'm more concerned about the ladies t...

Re: Jasper's ban

Question for the knowledgeable. If South Africa don’t pick him for their summer tests squad would the ban carry over to his new club, as he won’t have missed any fixtures that he was eligible for selection for My understanding is that providing there is some paperwork somewhere to suggest he "...

Look, you can all moan and slate the bloke, that's your purgative but look at the bigger picture here. im all for giving him his full term of 4 years, why because if we dont do better than eighth but its still tight, is it his fault? also we get rid, bring someone else in and guess what first year ...

Quite. I suggested Pellegrini as an example as he's possibly and example of several "desirable" qualities: 1) relatively young (so potential for long term option) 2) has demonstrated potential 3) relatively cheap Vunipola has been mentioned, but I suspect he falls down a little on number ...

Re: Premiership Semi finals 2024

Interesting to see that Saracens have returned 500 tickets from their allocation. Difficult to sell so many tickets when you only have 43 supporters :smt003 They’ve never had the biggest travelling support, and that coupled with Friday night kick off and school half term week. I don’t know how many...

I'd go for Ben Volavola of the available 10s who seem reasonable targets from a cap perspective. Quite. I suggested Pellegrini as an example as he's possibly and example of several "desirable" qualities: 1) relatively young (so potential for long term option) 2) has demonstrated potential...

Do the press divulge all of their sources? No, they protect them, otherwise we would never ever learn the truth about what happens behind closed doors and likewise for whistle blowers. To state that something isn't worth didly squat unless you divulge your source is demonstrably untrue and ignorant...
