I was thinking the same thing, couple of the South African sides at full strength could compete

Head contact so always going to be a card. IMO enough mitigation to go down to a yellow

Kata defensively isn’t good enough for 13.
For me he’s either impact or you use him at 12 in the Esterhuizen role. Will be interesting to see what the new attack coach thinks

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Good player, no doubt about that. Still think we are a centre short. 3x12's, 1x13 at present. The 13 is unproven in the NH. One 12 is an apprentice. Kata is an asset, but not necessarily helpful for those outside him. I wonder if it is a player from the NH who has yet to finish their season. Still ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Saying a Centre is unproven in the nh is so weird to say imo I can’t think of many backs who have struggled in the NH Like props, locks and coaches I get He might be ok on field, off field another matter. Nemani struggled first time up here. And as I’m sure you know Nemani was a lot younger and hom...

I would say the one thing about Vunipola is he doesn’t necessarily fit how Sarries want to play, which may of course be the same here. Possibly similar to Atkinson

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Obviously Liebenberg becoming EQP may help things but we may need an EQP player If EQP is the criteria then Worboys, trying to bring home Charlie Titcombe, give McPhillips another go. I don't think there's any obvious EQP 10s available this summer. Manu Vunipola is one I'd consider. For me Shillcoc...

Watched highlights of Grenoble beating Dax 58-10.
Difficult over 9 minutes of highlights but Grenoble look a very good team. They would demolish anything in the English championship

Leinster going 6/2 split on the bench interesting Van de Flier not starting, would have thought you’d risk him even if not fully fit.

Toulouse to win by 5 for me

Re: Challenge Cup Final: Gloucester v Sharks

Read the Sharks team, thought I was looking at the SA team till I reached ex Gloucester player Grobler at no.5 Don't see the Glaws front row getting much change out of Nche, Mbonambi, Koch Especially with Etzebeth one of the ones shoving... I hope it’s a decent game. It’s both teams only chance to ...
