Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
Here's the Toulouse side for Sunday's match against Harlequins at the Toulouse Football club's stadium:
15. Blair Kinghorn, 14. Juan Cruz Mallia, 13. Paul Costes, 12. Pita Ahki, 11. Matthis Lebel, 10. Romain Ntamack, 9. Antoine Dupont (c), 1. Cyril Baille, 2. Peato Mauvaka, 3. Dorian Aldegheri, 4. Thibaud Flament, 5. Emmanuel Meafou, 6. François Cros, 7. Jack Willis, 8. Alexandre Roumat
Replacements:
16. Julien Marchand, 17. Rodrigue Neti, 18. Joel Merkler, 19. Richie Arnold, 20. Mathis Castro-Ferreira, 21. Paul Graou, 22. Santiago Chocobares, 23. Thomas Ramos
On form, I'd go with Toulouse, but if Quins do what they did against Bordeaux/Bègles then we could be in for a bum clencher.

Bench: 16. Sam Riley 17. Joe Marler 18. Simon Kerrod 19. George Hammond 20. James Chisholm 21. Will Porter 22. Jarrod Evans 23. Oscar Beard

Interesting to see young Fin Baxter start for Quins. He did play well against Bordeaux, but Marler is still the stronger scrummager. Might they be splitting their first choice props to have 80 mins of set piece solidity?Robespierre wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 1:06 pm Here's the Toulouse side for Sunday's match against Harlequins at the Toulouse Football club's stadium:

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

Finished 32-31 to Sharks. Their fly half got man of the match but Etzerbeth was on a different planet for me

I know I am wrong but I can’t help feel that this whole competition is skewed in Leinster’s favour, sooooo

Strange how the same accusation is never made against Toulouse who have played in Toulouse as much as Leinster have played in DublinTiltonTiger wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 3:30 pm I know I am wrong but I can’t help feel that this whole competition is skewed in Leinster’s favour, sooooo

I hear you, but it’s just difficult to have any support for a team that is kind of propped up by the IRFU.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 3:38 pmStrange how the same accusation is never made against Toulouse who have played in Toulouse as much as Leinster have played in DublinTiltonTiger wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 3:30 pm I know I am wrong but I can’t help feel that this whole competition is skewed in Leinster’s favour, sooooo

Tangent alert but it’s odd how the Irish women are so abject that they can’t even qualify for World Cups yet the men are lauded as the world’s best. Is the IRFU board even more reactionary than our own I wonder?

Lyall, Flatman and Scarratt is a superior comms team, by the way.

Bizarre when you can get player of the match for a trip and a blatant forward pass !
Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
Ominous start for Saints, would be funny if we were the team to give Leinster their best game this year

Saints giving Forward pass? what forward pass Leinster a proper ending to the game, 20-17 with 5 mins to go.
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Leinster getting a free pass at the breakdown, as per
Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
In fairness to Saints they recovered very well and came close to winning. Something we never did in both our Leinster matches.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
Really good performance by Saints, they just needed to be more accurate in the first half.
The two "Irish" Kiwis were the difference.

Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
Fricking hell, Leinster play it right to the wire. A decent strong minded referee would ping them mercilessly. At last Mitchell worked out how to negate them by delaying his pass. Stains were unlucky, those Oirish were a sweating...
