Gotta think the air-miles have really hurt LR. Stupid competition.

At least our margin was better than la Rochelle's
I think you enjoy the game more if you don't know the rules. Anyway, you're on the same wavelength as the referees.

So, one English side through v a French outfit. One Irish side through v a French outfit.
An English side at home in the third of the four quarters - who are we supporting in that one? Do we want Saints to win so that they can't go full strength Vs us next week at the Allotment and have had three tough ones on the spin? Or do we want the Bulls to win and put our 'nearest and dearest' out?

Not so easy if they don't respect the opposition. 4-3 in trys that's not a big margin for their first quarter showing.

Looked like they were missing a few players with injury as well. No Pierre Bourgarit really hurt them as he's excellent at the breakdown as well as quality at lineout time, his replacement not so much. No Ward and no Colombe limited their ability to really pile the pressure on in the tight exchanges in the second half by replacing quality props with more quality. No Dulin at fullback was an issue as well. So much composure and a massive boot very much missed as Leinster controlled territory.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 7:20 pm Gotta think the air-miles have really hurt LR. Stupid competition.

Well played Saints. Some great attacking play and have smashed a weakened Bulls’ side but I believe they’d have beaten Bulls anyway.

As Robespierre said, SA teams should not be in the European cup so it's probably good Saints won. Although, I think the same about Saints!!
We did better than the European champs against Leinster, even without an attack coach, Martin, and Chessum. That needs to be recognised.
I feel so sorry for Bordeaux. Such a shame for them. They scored some great tries and deserved to win IMHO.

Great to see two English sides in the semi finals but I don’t think they will progress any further, Toulouse and Leinster will be far to strong for them, should be a great final if those two get to the final.

They are really good, Vesty has done them proud, nice article from him in the DT. It was a nice warm up for them with the Tigers paying a visit next weekendjohnthegriff wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:09 am Never thought I would say it but definitely supporting Saints next round.
