A TV commentator/analyst (don't recall which) recently made what I thought was a key observation - how crucial this relationship is to club performance.
Pollard came to tigers, partly, due to Aled Waters and the chance to regain fitness ahead of the World Cup. I wonder how badly he’s been affected by the coaching changes.

I have been pretty unimpressed this season. He looks short of confidence and his error count is far too high.

End the weekend 2 points closer to the top 4...

Also within a TBP win of a home semifinal.

Form can still be found... results can still happen...

3 wins may well be enough, 4 is guaranteed to be enough...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I was just thinking the same TFS.. Sale thump Exeter and according to the BBC are now “right back in the playoff mix” but woe is us, doom and gloom, season is over sack DMK… yet we are 2 points above them.. go figure? It’s all still to play for.. just a shame we lost it at the death against Glos as we would be up in 2nd but hey ho.. that’s the way it is so onwards and upwards and big push now hopefully the lads are all back together..

The fact 8 teams have winning records

7 if those are identical winning records.

Of those 8 teams with a winning record only 1 of those has won both of their games since the league resumed. (And they were in 8th at the restart)

What it says us there's not much between the teams. The form guide is out the window so all to plsy for as 8 teams have it in their own hands...

I mean if we are honest we've been really good in about 2,3 games max. The rest poor to middling with some dross mixed in

That's one of the crazy things about this year...

I think in terms of weeks available to play and train McKellar has had the England players (who have been in both world cup and 6N squads) a shorter length of time than pre-season this year...

So we have had a huge chunk of our squad who have just completed a heavily interrupted preseason with us... (while changing the majority of our coaching setup)

You’ll probably find that the excuses are simply explanations to your own negativity.

The one before we won the league. That was a decent season with a Top 6 finish and a European final. Didn't quite go out way but after some abject years it was decent.

Last year we lost half the coaching staff halfway through the season. This year is a world cup year, and we always struggle in those. New coaching staff that has had disruption as well. Just need to grind out some wins now as the league is tight and we might scrape our way into a decent spot.

It is frustrating that a handful of teams provide the England players and are disadvantaged by both the world Cup and the 6N.

Play the 6N on consecutive weekends and reduce the number of teams at the world cup.

Or have a system that means that sides providing England players. Perhaps that sides with less England players should have a number nominated to miss a similar number of games so that all sides are similarly disadvantaged.
