Last Third - 6 Game Prem Run-In
One game at a time, I know, but.....
I won't even bother to try to 'call it', close table with lots in the mix still. Saints in the driving seat to top the table (for what little that counts these days) with a slight 'air gap' now, but that could change rapidly.
Round 13
Bristol v Saints
Tigers v Gloucs
Chiefs v Falcons
Saracens v Quins
Bath v Sale
Round 14
Falcons v Tigers
Saints v Saracens
Gloucs v Bristol
Quins v Bath
Sale v Chiefs

Round 16

Round 17

Sale v Tigers
Round 18

Of all the teams remaining I'd say Saints have the toughest run in... still anyone's spots...
Only Gloucester and Newcastle IMO are out of the title race.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

As you say one game at a time and so many things can change with 8 of the 10 teams capable of beating each other. Also throw into the mix players returning from 6 nations and the possible effects of a clubs extended run in Europe.
Looking at the fixtures a positive guess would be us getting 22 points from the remaining 6 games leaving us on 55.

Spot on. They've choked a lead before too, 10 points in 2011 or 2012 ish (can't quite remember) I think when we reeled them in. They are looking good value this year though, can still be caught - easily.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 8:34 pm Of all the teams remaining I'd say Saints have the toughest run in...

Said similar on the 'other games...' thread, will be a big factor I think.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 8:39 pm Also throw into the mix players returning from 6 nations and the possible effects of a clubs extended run in Europe.

Re: Last Third - 6 Game Prem Run-In
Practically impossible to try and predict the playoff spots, apart from Saints - and it might only take a couple of losses for them to be getting nervous.
Tigers are on the front foot now with 6 wins in 7. Anything could happen...

Our two easier games next up could see us 8/9 and in a great spot.
Very much in our hands.

According to Rugby Inside Line we're 20 points better off in our points difference compared to last season.

Not really ,probably more of a law of averages man. I don’t believe that Newcastle will go winless all season now Dimes is there and knowing us it will be us who lose to them!Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 5:38 pmSevere pessimism, even for you!
