21 was still bound! Definitely robbed!
Wasnt he the replacement scrum half, he pulled his opposite scrum half and threw him out not allowing him to play the ball, in my view it was tackling the SH without the ball, penalty.
I think it was explained that both the 9s were having a go at each other penalty was given against the flanker. It was how the officials saw it imo they had as many replays as were required to disallow the try. A home crowd decision for me
The penalty should have been for the actions of the scrum half.
As for the back row, are they not meant to be bound to the second row? The Glasgow flanker had a hand on someone in his own pack but that is not being bound.

I thought the ref got the scrum wrong on so many occasions, penalising the Exeter prop when the reality the Glasgow loose head was scrummaging as straight as a 9 bob note.

Agree the Glasgow 9 should have been penalised, but he wasn’t. Difficult to bind properly when the front 5 are all on their knees.
In the end I even think he may have penalised the flanker for offside.
Either way it was an unsatisfactory end to the match, and one of a number of strange decisions by French officials this weekend

The lad playing 9 for Toulouse looks useful Robes. You want to hang onto him 🤣

Yeah, though they say he fancies his chances at 7s, so we’ll see!

Toulouse have to be favourites for number 1 seed now, with respect to Bath you would expect Toulouse to get 5 match points next week.
To put that win in perspective that’s the same Ulster side who beat Leinster away recently

Hope so, especially as I’ve got tickets for the Bath game!

The great consistency of the TMO in action at Bath again. Barbeary is lucky…

Barbeary gets away with certain red v Bath. Italian ref felt there wasn’t a high degree of danger

The mitigation that it wasn’t a high degree of danger- I’m stunned- he’s sent him into the river! I would have more sympthay due to him gathering the kick but Barbeary was as upright as a church steeple.

Bath fighting hard to stem Racing early on.

Yes it can do if they want to.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Anyone asking why Arundell wasn’t a regular for England needs to be watching this. He has butchered 2 cast iron opportunities by taking the wrong decision

Enjoying the Bath game as a neutral. The ref is very on Baths side as that was a red everyday of the week and the scrum is not being reffed fairly.
Finn Russell has some great tackling technique. He is all over the place, in a good way.
There is never any points for 2nd place...
