+1.
Shoulder to the chest. Good wrap. Play on.
Yup, whiplash caused the head to impact on the back of the tacklers shoulder. How do you legislate for that? :smt017

I’d be seething if I was Munster
I thought it was well read by Slade. The scrum half should have just passed into one of the offside players, would get the penalty straightway.

For me the initial hit was in the chest. It rode up. The arms wrapped. Fair tackle.

Bordering on high.....so if sir feels that way....penalty.

There were far more dangerous tackles in this game, like the no arms speed bump thrown near the munster line, that went unpunished.

So.....if we can't tackle.....let's play touch.

Ok different views but I don’t see the need to go to such an extreme

I would say that there was not a good camera angle, but imo there was one that showed neck chin contact. Very least it was a penalty not sure where you are getting play on from

It's not an extreme....it's a serious concern.

In a dynamic physical game such as rugby has become there is a real injury risk on every collision. High or low. Players are bigger and faster and we're talking about collisions not tackles.

If you want to rid the game of injury then there has to be a non tackling alternative. A game where speed and elusive running dominates over the impact game.

What used to be a game for all shapes and sizes has long since gone. More's the pity.

Or just throwing this out there any tackle above the nipple line is illegal and gets rid of any doubt

Problem there is.....as Posh Richard has pointed out.....his nipples are a foot higher than mine whilst mine are 6 inches wider apart than his!

Exeter again look impressive. Next week will be extremely challenging.
Then Bath and Sarries at home. Massive.
