Just looking at the in goal areas at Sandy Park compared with our meagre efforts. Is there a max/min size for a pitch are are we under it? If we are do "grandfather rights" keep us open?

Tuissue hobbling off with nasty looking leg injury, means Gloucester are likely to be without him Mercer and Ackerman next week

ARE ALL RUGBY PITCHES THE SAME SIZE?
There is a range of acceptable dimensions for a rugby union pitch: the length of the field of play can vary between 94-100m, whilst the width can range from 68-70m. As we touched on above, the in-goal area at either end can be between 6 and 22m in length.
Found the above

Did McGuigan have an HIA even on field?

But are we compliant? Have the stands encroached? Just me and Posh Richard in an "l don't like your tiny (plastic) pitch" argument.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 3:49 pmARE ALL RUGBY PITCHES THE SAME SIZE?

If I remember we lengthened and widened the pitch in the expectation that we would be a venue in the WC. And therefore the in-goal area was shrunk.

I was eating my dinner! I could only hear the irritating rattle from the other room.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 8:39 am Interesting people complaining about the commentary for the Quins/Sarries game but not one mention of how ruthless Sarries were or how good fan’s favourite Farrell was.
Still great strength in depth, our back row reserve players a strong Hatherall, Rogerson, Cracknell, Ilione, not starting for Sarries yesterday McFarland, Earl, Willis, test level

That kind of makes sense.....I knew things changed. There was an orange patch of clay at the old temporary stand end.

I thought there was still an issue with the width that stopped us hosting full international games, but I may have dreamt that.
I remember going to New Zealand v Italy in 1991?, but for the 2015 World Cup I think the crisp bowl hosted a couple of games

I think we just about got away with the size of the pitch after we made those changes but I think there was also a problem with the changing facilities. However we do have England B v Portugal coming up at WR.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 6:30 pm I thought there was still an issue with the width that stopped us hosting full international games, but I may have dreamt that.
