Just about to write 'oh dear me this can't go on' when we stole it at the death. Well, a win is a win...but OMG we need some more of our internationals back

not at all I just didn't explain myself, also the first comment you replied to was about reaching the "aimless kicking" part of our plan, all those kicks were straight to the opposing received to be kicked back, didn't even move him around much, hence the lack of vision, I think a lot of 10s would have gone to the other side of the pitch to make him take a running catch in those conditionsLE18 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 5:03 pmWriggling a bit there Jimmy.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 5:00 pm I just need to clarify my point on Shillcock, I like him I don't think he did anything wrong today but where as Burns was always a 10 playing 15 I think Shillcock is the inverse, he's very much a full back that can cover 10 and thus is lacking that last little but of tactical vision a natural 10 has.
I do really want to see him on tandem with Pollard from 15, that could really elevate our attacking game, its part of the reason I have suggested Steward moving to 12 or on the wing

they are all back here next week, though I wonder if Julian will need a break and what the extent of Martin's knee injury was, was it a knock that meant they just didn't pick him through caution last night or is it more serious?markharbtiger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 5:04 pm Just about to write 'oh dear me this can't go on' when we stole it at the death. Charlie Clare with the performance of a lifetime, fantastic from him.
Shillcock continues to look like a wonderful piece of business, so composed and a great points kicker. Reffell and Ilione in the side gave us way more dynamism and allowed us really pressure Bath more effectively.
A real scrap in a mud bath but the players were all up for it. Love to see that never say die attitude.

Shout out to Rogerson. Clearly a flanker playing 8 with Cracknell and Hatherall injured but didn’t put a foot wrong. Illione had a big impact at the breakdown after he came on!

Rogerson had at least 1 good carry in the first half too, you can see why he was a captain as wellLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 5:13 pm Shout out to Rogerson. generally no but the penalty he gave away to almost lose the match was schoolboy stuff, you would have thought he was nailed down to be Ben's back up until JVP was back but he really hasn't impressed overall I wonder if he's not settled in yet or learning calls or something?

Yeah Bayfield spent the whole HT chat showing the bath try 5 times and saying we have just had 40mins of skill & slick play but! The tigers lead at HT

Massive moment in our season, already. Starts looking like we'd be well adrift, but we'll only get stronger from here. Shillcock showing his worth.

He nearly cost us the game….twice. Dropped the ball in our 22 from a kick off and then a late charge on Finn Russell to give them the lead before we snatched it back a few minutes later. He owes the team a few beers.

Pleased with Shillcock - he seems to be improving with every game. I just can't believe we won that...

Every 100% winning start has been ended and if Newcastle win every 100% losing start will have ended
