On Powell, just watched the highlights, he had an awful game, yes, he dropped a bar of soap and he did give away a brainless penalty.
However his little trigger twitch (not a full dummy) drew the Bath player offside for the penultimate penalty.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

On paper coming out of the RWC phase of this competition with 5 points from 15 if pretty good. Really could've been and should've been more (Sale last week should've been a draw)
We have missed for the majority of the 3 games a 11 of my starting 15.
With Watson a question mark.
I don't think Wiese or Pollard will play till Saints home TBH.
For Sarries away would maybe look to play Kata(If fit), Youngs and Chessum
For Quins home add in Cole, Martin, Montoya, Steward
For Saints home add in Wiese and Pollard

I don't think even Youngs will be in next week.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 8:52 am On paper coming out of the RWC phase of this competition with 5 points from 15 if pretty good. Really could've been and should've been more (Sale last week should've been a draw)

Kata if fit (never know with concussions)
Quins I expect Youngs, Pollard & Wiese
Then the rest around the Saints game.

On moving Steward, I brought up a few weeks I think. I wouldn't want it as a permanent move at Prem level I do feel there is benefits to having the best players on the pitch.
Centre I do feel like is a area we do have a potential weakness in depth.
Cokanasiga looked good in the prem cup, but hasn't shown it in the
We have Kata but our wing depth isn't much better either.
Shillcock imo has been the standout in the backs by some distance so far.
If we lose Unfortutely say Kelly, Scott, Porter and we have a prem game against say Falcons or someone I really wouldn't be against at least trying Steward as a 12, the alternative being Pollard at 12 with Shillcock at 10 which I would be fine with.

I hope Youngs is back and playing next week - can hardly say he has been overused in the WC. At first, I liked what I saw of Powell but have really changed my mind over the last 2 games and when everyone is fit, he gets nowhere near the matchday 23. Can see more of our returnees being used v Sarries than most of us expect in order to try and build some momentum after the great win yesterday.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 9:03 amI don't think even Youngs will be in next week.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 8:52 am On paper coming out of the RWC phase of this competition with 5 points from 15 if pretty good. I guess depends what the England contracts say in terms of time off.
I wouldn't play Montoya on a plastic pitch a week after England.
Wiese and Pollard for me give couple weeks off and maybe put a new contract for both of them on the table whilst they are celebrating..

Just having a post-cycle breakfast out in Gt Bowden and Joe Powell + family also here. Will leave them be - I never know whether to say hello to players. James Cronin was in here last week…

Honestly I'm just not used to Tigers saying anything about availability so stopped checking.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:23 am Think some people haven't read this:

Still could play people if the players wanted it but it’s a good shout, and Quins is a good targetWayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:23 am Think some people haven't read this:

It was a shock to me as well, get the feeling our HC is used to a more open conversation.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:57 amHonestly I'm just not used to Tigers saying anything about availability so stopped checking.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:23 am Think some people haven't read this:

The article about SA winning states back at Tigers on the 6th in reference to those involved this weekend.
