Coventry 33 21 Leicester Lions, Cov fielded two different teams in each half and it was 7-7 at half time, Lions took a squad of 27 so some played for longer than others for the Lions. A good run out for both sides.

He was, but spent last season at Market Harborough and is a signing at the Lions not a loan player, so guessing he has left the Tigers.

Other former Tigers academy prospects include centre Luke Veebel who has 15 caps playing for Estonia, prop Will Roberts, there are players who have been at Northampton, Newcastle and Saracens as well as BUCS uni players and I believe forwards coach Jason Aldwinkle is an ex Tiger too.

The Lions have added to the core of the side that were promoted, but under no illusions, Nat 1 is a big step and some of the sides are professional, so it will be a tough league, but one they will embrace.
