Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List
I think the MVS covering hooker thing was before the scan for Marx came back as others have said. I'd assume that they'd have wanted to keep a player of his standard in the squad if possible and so maybe would have played a couple of games with only two specialists whilst he healed up. Unfortunately looks a worse injury than that so I'd expect Dweba to join the squad shortly.

Fourie was a hooker early in his career.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

So with Cracknell out of a team again, I suspect he's recovering from a knock. As he has appeared in some media stuff training he may not be far off.
Other one I'll ask about is Cronin... there was an initial release which had him in text on the web release playing vs Sale, it was swiftly edited out and corrected to Van Wyk... So was he slated to start at the beginning of the week for that to change now...

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Some of the previous "videos" had Cracknell training in a scrum cap, so could be connected.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 1:02 pm So with Cracknell out of a team again, I suspect he's recovering from a knock. As he has appeared in some media stuff training he may not be far off.

So given Cracknell didn't step up into the 23 when Rogerson pulled out and picked instead a yongster who's played in all our games came in.
I don't think he's match fit (probably the same with Wells)

Cronin was definitely planned to start on Saturday.
Latest episode of Tigers eyes if you pause at 1.03 you can see that no.1 was Cronin in the team announced at the start of the week.
That combined with the initial team announcement which had Cronin in the text (swiftly editied to Van Wyk) means he definitely dropped out later in the week...

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

McKellar has given an injury update to the press
Only on those he was asked about (so unsure on Wells, Cracknell & Cronin)
But seems if they ask directly about players there is an answer

So just watched the replay of the Ampthill game...
Simmons injury looked like it may not be a quick return unfortunately, it may be him out a while. Looked to get his leg trapped in the ruck a bit...
Didn't see Josh Manz's but was serious enough to mean we finished the game with 14.
Matt Rogerson was also struggling significantly before that last scrum, had Josh not been off would he have rested out that last minute or so...
