OHC must have been injured in England training as he's posted on Insta about the staff helping him with rehab

After the matches vs Nottingham & Caldy there are 4 senior squad players not confirmed as having an injury OR away with Internationals who have yet to feature this season (for us or on loan in the case of Theobald-Thomas)

Olly Cracknell
Handrè Pollard
Matt Scott
Harry Wells

Of those, we know Pollard and Wells are both coming back from having a surgery, but both have been pictured in training recently, so may be nearing match readiness.

Thanks to Ltandy111 on one of the other threads saying he's spotted Matt Scott being injured now unfortunately.

Where does this leave Olly Cracknell? Do we think he may be injured?

I certainly will be considering him very hard as possibly being injured if he's not in against Sale this weekend as it's clear there is a strategy to get all players gametime from McKellar

Cracknell has been seen in a few photos so could just be managing workload? Think you're right that if we don't see him vs Sale we might get the idea has either is injured or has had an injury during pre-season and isn't quite ready.

You can see Cracknell took part in the team run in the latest Tigers Eyes episode so think it likely he's fit just waiting another week to give him his run out

Scott seen in the latest Tigers tweet in a boot. Hence why we haven’t seen him yet in preseason. Hope he recovers from his injury soon!

I wonder if Handre might find himself ‘replacing Marx’ in the Springboks squad?

https://tinyurl.com/422rvepx

Seems like they say they have cover at hooker so will assess the squad and where they need depth?!

Hmm…

No way they leave their squad without a 3rd player who can cover hooker at least, don't know if any of their forwards have that experience

This is a report from "THE SOUTH AFRICAN"

The Springboks, meanwhile, have stated that they feel Bongi Mbonambi, Deon Fourie and Marco van Staden will provide adequate cover at hooker. Meanwhile, one of the following players from the standby list could also be called up:

Lukhanyo Am (centre)
Lood de Jager (lock)
Jean-Luc du Preez (utility forward)
Thomas du Toit (prop)
Joseph Dweba (hooker)
Herschel Jantjies (scrumhalf)

So no mention of AP

I had read that MVS was training with the hookers. Can’t see that they will leave themselves with just 2 specialists

If I'm not mistaken that was published before Marx was out the whole tournament.

With only 2 specialists in the squad that's one thing, but personally I think Dweba gets the nod now. Fourie and Van Staden may be back rows who can cover there. SA now only have one specialist hooker in the squad, is that sustainable, I doubt it tbh...

Huge loss,Marx is the world's best hooker depending on how I'm feeling that day. MVS isn't playing hooker in a RWC game. Be utter lunacy to replace Marx with Pollard
