RB, Greg Mannion left the academy to take up a position with Hull KR. I don't know if a replacement has been announced.
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!

Coming in OHC, Bassett, Shilcock and Kata, pretty much confirmed. If that’s the case then we could maybe squeeze Kiberige in.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

IMO from the start of the season to next season
Nadolo -> Kata?
Hegarty -> Shillcock
Watson -> Hassell-Collins
Burns -> Atkinson
Murimurivalu -> Brown
Ashton -> Bassett
All of those will essentially be approx similar value players (the part of the year for Hegarty was out probably meant we got Atkinson before Burns left, then when Burns left it allowed Brown before Kini left)
With the fact we had advanced notice of Nadolo leaving I'd say we didn't have his full years salary in the mix which is why I think Kata may be similar cap space.
This leaves 1 un-replaced winger rumored to be off in Saumaki, there is an argument to say possibly replaced by Simmons stepping up getting a new contract.
IMO certainly not enough cap clearance for a big name signing, but possibly a Byrne or Kiberige if not too expensive
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Burns out and Atkinson in is probably a straightforward swap.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:57 amGood point and possibly Burns too , who played some rugby at 15sapajo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 8:33 amAshton to add to the leavers?Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 9:19 pm

We really need another quality loosehead asap. Let's hope our new HC has some irons in the fire on this one and another signing for Sarries - maybe they are going to use the spare money the RFU are/maybe giving them to employ Watson.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 12:02 pm https://twitter.com/Saracens/status/165 ... bPTfg&s=19

Really disappointing. I hope DMK has an exciting LH lined up as West has been massive.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 12:02 pm https://twitter.com/Saracens/status/165 ... bPTfg&s=19

Interstingly we've not announced him going so just wonder if we're prepping full leavers list or Sarries now they've got him have tried to destabilise us a bit in the run in with a surprise announcement...

Putting 2 and 2 together I wonder if his family base is in that area, with him having talked to Ealing as well.
At least we won’t be losing Cronin, Whitcombe is a quality development project, and Van Wyk if he is staying is a more than adequate 3rd choice.

Has Nicky Smith from Ospreys been picked up by anyone yet? - Sarries and the Bears were reputed to be the front runners for his signature but obviously, Sarries won't need him now.
