Still, surely West will be in Borthwick’s mind for the World Cup etc so we probably couldn’t afford to lose another player to internationals.
Or maybe Genge is coming back as he hasn’t been too happy in Bristol!!!!!!!!

Genge confirmed in the Bristol squad next season
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Slightly off topic but that Bristol squad looks very unbalanced IMO

Can’t see West being in world cup thoughts tbh.

I think Genge, Mako, Obano, Rodd, Rapava Ruskin, would all be ahead of him if fit

Gutted, Tom West to Saracens.... just been confirmed...

Tom West to Sarries

Looks like Tom West off to Sarries, disappointing as he’s done a good job with Tigers.

Yeah, what can I say, we got that wrong sadly.

First time, but hurts a lot and we’re as surprised as everyone else!

Wow - that is so disappointing!!!

I know we have Cronin and Whitcombe, but West has been outstanding and he doesn't appear to be injury prone either.

Such a shame.

Normally we are better prepared, announce leaver, announce new signing, other club announces signing. This time just straight in there from Saracens. Worrying if they did hijack the deal last minute with a juicy offer, may mean that we have not got a plan B set up.

That does concern me, however there is a good chance we're setting up a full leavers announcement soon so we maybe just decided to do his in that one...

Very much conjecture from us all. I think he originally came in as a medical joker, it may that we have always had an alternate plan in place, and West had always intended to move to north London
