Last 30s of this interview make interesting listening, based on the rumours of Walder leaving with immediate effect.

Losing players, now the head coach.
Debt comparable to many in the Premiership so presumably cash flow and income are the problem.

The debt levels quoted for clubs can be deceptive. There are reasons why sponsorship and benefactor income is termed a loan and thus shows up as debt perhaps? If it was purely labelled as sponsorship or advertising revenue it might be subject to tax.
A loan isn’t income. If the loan is subsequently written off it benefits the business just as spending on advertising might in terms of being a company expense.

Wasps case was different, their bond issue had to be paid to investors. The ongoing income to do so wasn’t there.
Do Newcastle have enough income to service wages/running costs and loans that do have to be paid? It would seem not if they are shedding costs on the player side. Walder may feel that his task is impossible and he doesn’t want to be blamed for a side with no chance of competing next season.
He has the experience to be sought after by clubs around Europe.

It seems certain Walder has gone. Circumstances less clear.

Rumours of a falling out between Walder and those above him. Decisions around recruitment and player contracts were completely out of his hands, he had no say.

Rumours of more coaches going on the summer.

It's probably a step too far, but if these rumours are true, I would not be unhappy to see Dave Walder do a 'Mike Blair', revert to attack coach and come to Tigers.

Apart from the fact we've signed the guy he eye gouged, not sure that will go well.

Okay, we’ll settle for Radwan then!
Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

...and tell Radwan to turn up when he's sorted his defence and kicking game out.

Confirmation finally from the club... Well sort of. He only officially leaves his role at the end of the season, but is stepping back from now... whatever that means...
